Chapter Six: Dinner time

Y/n POV

I had just picked out an ok outfit to wear to dinner. (You can think of your own outfit) i check the time it was 5:43. "I should get going now" I mutter as I grab my keys and head out of my house. I lock it and get inside of my car.

After what seemed a hour drive I finally arrived at the Afton's residence. It was a decently big house for their size of a family. It wasn't too far from town but still seemed like It was in the woods. I get out and start walking over to the door. I observed the house as I walk up. It was a dark purple two story house with a few windows. The door was wooden and had a small window.

I stand there for a second to prepare myself. Your about to eat dinner with a murder no biggie....I just hopes this ends quickly. I knock door and wait a for someone to answer. I hear a voice yells inside the house. The door opens sand I see the boy from earlier. Micheal I think his name was...

"Hello Miss Y/n come inside!" He says moving aside to let me in. I walk inside giving him a small smile. I look around the house and met with a hallway. The house seems lit from every corner no dark hallways or corners. It feels so cosy here... "Miss L/n welcome!" As I knock out of my trance I look and see William come out of another room into the hallway. The room he was in seemed like the living room.

"Thank you I'm glad I can be here!" I say as I give him a smile. He returns it with a creepy one of his own. "Oh we shouldn't have you standing here. Come sit in the living room!" He says as he walks away and waves for me to follow him. I follow behind him as I look around the room I just walked into. There were two couches one that can fit at least two to three people. The other one could fit at least four or five. The tv sits in front of the two couches as cartoons play. I see the two other kids from earlier as Micheal goes and sits with them. "Elizabeth Miss y/n is here." William says as Elizabeth turns her head astatic at the head of my name. She then runs up to me and gives me a hug.

She's really short so she's hugging my legs right now. I reach my hands down to put them on her back as she pulls away and looks at me. "Hello Miss Y/n I'm happy for see you again!" She says as she fully pulls away taking her arms off my legs. I squat down to reach her height. "It's nice to see you too Elizabeth." I say giving her a smile. She returns with a big grin. "You remembered my name!" She squeals as I giggle. "Of course I did how could I forget a beautiful young lady like you!" I say as she starts getting embarrassed I smile as she pay her head.

I surprisingly don't hate her...she's a sweet kid I usually don't really get along with kids so this is a change for me. I wonder how the other two feel about me. "You can sit with the kids I'll tell you all when dinners ready." William says as he walks back into what I think is the kitchen. I sit next to Elizabeth who is sitting next to Micheal. I noticed that the youngest isn't here. "Aren't we missing one more kid?" I ask the two sitting next to me. "Oh Evan is asleep in his room upstairs. Dad will wake him up before dinner though so he can eat." Micheal says as he look at me then look back to the tv.

I nod as I turn to watch the tv. They were watching Tom and Jerry. "You guys like Tom and Jerry?" I ask them trying to make conversation. Elizabeth looks towards me and nod's excitedly. "Yeah there really funny!" I give her a smile and a nod as she turns back and keeps watching. After a few minutes of me sitting watching William comes to the living room. "Dinners ready!" He says with a smile as he walks back to the kitchen. The kids run following him as I follow quietly behind them.

I walk into the dinning room to see the table set with food on the plates. The two kids sitting in there seats across from each other. There was two free spots on each end of the table which I assumed me and William would sit. Wait...does this man not have a wife?! How come I barely thought about this! I go sit next to Micheal and Elizabeth who sit there happily waiting. I see William come in from a hallway with Evan in his arms. He sits him down in his high chair as he sits next to him with a smaller plate in his hands.

"I hope you enjoy the food Y/n." William says as he hands the plate to Evan and he starts eating while keeping a watchful eye on him. "Yes it smells delicious thank you so much." I start to dig into the food and realize it's f/f. Not strange at all... I sit there wondering if I should ask him about his wife. I mean I've seen no signs of a women living here. "William if you don't mind me asking Wheres your wife?" As I say that he makes his eyes look up at me before his full face.

He rests his hands in front of his face. "My wife had passed after giving birth to Evan. There was some short of complication and they couldn't save her." My face softens as I look at all the kids who seem to just sit there trying to ignore the story of there mother. "I'm so sorry I shouldn't have asked." I say as I look at him with a pitiful look. I honestly could care less about that women I mean didn't know her but I mostly feel bad for the kids. Growing up without mother or a mother figure must be upsetting at times for them. Having there dad gone most of the time for work.

"It's fine you don't know." He says with a smile as he goes back to eating and I do the same. With time dinner passes with Elizabeth taking about things that happened through out her day. Same thing with Micheal. It's been awhile since I had an actual nice dinner with someone. Dinners done and me and kids sit in the living room once again. William walks into the room with a rag in his hands drying them from just doing the dishes.

"Kids go get ready for bed." He says looking at them with a smile that changes more sadistic once he looks at me. "Ok dad!" They both say as they run up the stairs. William had set Evan for bed a while ago after dinner.

"I'd say we'd need to have a chat, don't you think Miss L/n?"
