Chapter Twelve: Guilt

William POV

I wake up my head pounding. "Ugh what happened" I say as I pull my head off my pillow looking at my empty bed. "Was I dreaming I couldn't sworn-" I stop myself realizing I'm not wearing anything under the blanket. Wait if that wasn't a dream, where's y/n?
I get out of the bed grabbing different work clothes since there dirty from yesterday. After I'm dressed I walk out of my room and walk downstairs.

I look in the kitchen she isn't there, then the living room she isn't there. She left..... 
I mean we were drunk, but I thought she would at least stay till morning. I need to talk to her. We need to clear this up before it gets really awkward. I go to each of the kids room and wake them all up to get them ready for school.

After I drop off the kids and say goodbye to all three I then head to work. I wonder how this will go down...
After thinking about the whole situation I realize I finally made it to the diner. I take a deep breath and step out of my car. I see y/n's car parked next to Henry's. Oh she's already here, that's a surprise. I then walk slowly to the glass doors, nervous on what I will be met too. I walk in pushing the doors I see one of the employees at the front but no sign of y/n.

I then head towards my office, cautious of who's walking around me. I look into the arcade area and no sign of y/n but all the machines are already on. I sigh as I head toward my office. I know she's going to avoid me all day, I don't think I'm gonna see her. Before i can make it to my office I bump into someone.

"I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention" I say as I look to the person I bumped into. It was a dirty blond haired girl with greenish eyes. "It's alright I'm fine don't worry boss" she says as she picks something off the ground. I see it's a rag, she's probably gonna go clean something. "Ok good I don't want any of my employees getting hurt because I was foolish." I say in response to her, she laughs as she shakes her head. "It's alright, Boss your aren't foolish at all." She says looking me in the eyes. Her eyes are something else, there memorizing. I slightly shake my head to make the thought go away.

"Well I'm glad you think so, I'll let you get to work." I say trying to end the conversation. "Alright have a nice day!" She says walking past me but I stop her before she can leave. "Wait, what's your name if I may ask?" I ask turning towards her. She looks my way and smiles "Oh its Clara" as she says this I nod at her with a smile and she turns around and walks away. I then head towards me office. I feel a bit guilty, about that encounter.

I then sit at my desk and prepare for what the day might bring ahead. I just hope it doesn't end as badly as I think it will.
