"Chris. Move back, now!" Ashley shouted, shoving me to the ground as hellfire rushed towards me. Michael grabbed his sword and slashed at Ricky, making him stare blankly.
Justin grabbed Ricky and shoved him away, stopping the blow. "Michael. Go grab Angelo and leave, Ricky is mine. I'll deal with him." I said, standng up. Mikey looked at me, slightly concerned before he shurgged and left.
The moment he left, I rushed over and pulled him into my arms, ignoring the pain from the burns. Ashley tried to pull me away but I growled and held onto him. My poor Ricky, he didn't need us rescuing him in the end, but at this cost?
"Ricky, come back to me. Please!" I begged, almost dropping to my knees. The hellfire was starting to eat away at my skin, the pain and grief made me wish I'd never met him. Ryan and Justin dragged me away before Ricky lost consciousness.
"You're going to have to go inside his mind, Chris. It's the only way to bring him back from this darkness." Justin said softly, picking Ricky up. The hellfire had vanished the moment he passed out.
I nodded, and sat silently as they chained him up on a chain. Justin used a special type of chains that can withstand hellfire. "I don't know how long this will last, nor how long it will take. But Justin, you and Ashley are in charge until I'm back."
To rescue him from the darkness, I'd have to enter his mind completely, which would mean my body would just be a shell. And if I can't help Ricky, then I don't think I'd make it back.
Within a few moments, everything faded away to a thick, suffocating darkness. I had done it. I couldn't see anything, his mind was completely dark which meant that it could take months to find him.
"Ricky?" I yelled, my eyes slowly adjusting to the darkness. His mind was a mess, it was like a circus with his memories running rampant, his rage and pain was all around, echoing yells and screams.
"Where are you?!" I yelled, before I saw Angelo of all people, sat in one of the corners of his mind. "Get the fuck out of here. You've already done enough!"
Angelo looked at me, tears streaming down his face. "I tried to help him, I tried to put a block on his mind because the Archangels were interested in him. But I got trapped, Chris."
I frowned, this couldn't be true could it? But if it was, then things were about to get trickier. "What do you mean they're interested in him? How are they, what do they want?"
"They're not happy that 3 priests became demons almost simultaneously. Ricky is the only one who managed to transform this quickly and they're worried. If there are more people out there who were born to become demons then they need to find a way to stop it."
I sat next to Angelo, his white wings breaking the darkness. "Ricky has the potential to end the world. He could have either became a demon or an Angel. He was born to be both. Or I suppose, he already is both."
"What do you mean? How do you know this?" I questioned. The only case like this, with a demon and an angel parent, was me and my brother. How was this possible, was this a common occurrence?
"When I became an Angel, they asked me to watch over Ricky and the others, at the time I wasn't sure why. I mean, I wasn't a guardian angel. But I did, and I read a file on him. His mother was an angel. Which technically makes Ricky a Nephilim, like you guys. But his Father, well, he was a demon."
He was half angel and half demon? And he had the same parental situation as I did, a demon Father and an angel Mother.
"When Ricky was born, they panicked not wanting anybody to find out. They would've been killed because something like this shouldn't have happened. So they found a way to seal away what he was, and he became a human. But only temporarily."
"That's exactly what happened to Kuza and me, are you telling me that there are more out there like me?" Angelo said nothing and turned away.
"You need to look after him, heaven want him as one of ours but he's much happier like this. He was born for you, just remember that. I need to go back, Michael has finally released the spell holding me here. Don't tell anybody anything."
I watched as Angelo faded away, clearly going back to his own body.
If all of this was true, then things were going to get much harder than I thought.
