"Stop calling me everyday! I have a life and have duties!" Wooyoung yelled into his phone as he hung up. He had enough of his father just calling him and telling him how ungrateful he is and how he should be supporting his parents.
Wooyoung walked out of his office. He was headed home but a strange smell caught his nose and he loved it. It was some kind of perfume. Wooyoung couldn't tell what kind of scent it was but he loved it. He realized that someone must have passed him so he looked back and saw no one. The mentioned just shrugged and kept on walking with his earphones plugged playing NF music. The boy loved NF and would probably do anything to go to his concert.
After around twenty minutes Wooyoung was standing in front of his home putting in the code. As soon as the door opened Loki jumped into his arms and licked all over the face. His dog loved him. The boy placed his stuff on the table, sat down and just stayed there in silence. Loki already sensing that his owner isn't feeling got the collar and the leash from its usual place and brought them to Wooyoungs feet. He smiled at his own dog and put the collar and leash on him. Wooyoung took his earphones with his phone and walked out the door, locking it afterwards.
They were walking around the neighborhood for at least an hour before they started heading to the park - their usual place. The closer they got the stronger the scent Wooyoung smelled and soon the boy realized there was someone sitting at his bench, his beloved bench. Why did the person chooses his bench and why did he have this scent he loved. Wooyoung brushed his thoughts off and sat near the person. From up close he could see it was a guy, around the same age as him. His face looked disturbed.
"Hey.. Beautiful night isn't it?" Wooyoung tried to make a conversation.
"Yea.. It is.. The moon is really beautiful" the person sitting next to him answered. His voice was deep but had a hint of high pitch in it. His voice also hinted that he wasn't feeling well, something had him in his thoughts.
"It's crescent moon. People call it the open moon" wooyoung said.
"I'm Wooyoung, Jung Wooyoung.. What's your name?" Wooyoung asked.
"Your name is beautiful. I'm San, Choi San" the other answered and looked at Wooyoung.
"Thank you! Your name is beautiful too!" Wooyoung answered without stuttering. It shocked him.
Wooyoung had forgotten how bad he felt today. How overwhelmed he was and how serious his anxiety was. He forgot everything the moment he talked to San. He felt close and safe with him. He felt like he was meant to meet him.
"Why are you sitting here so late?" Wooyoung finally asked.
"I don't want to burden you" San said and looked up to the moon.
"You will not! I want to listen" wooyoung assured him and smiled his way.
"Okay.. Thanks.. Well today hasn't been well.. I came out to my parents. They didn't react very well and told me to never show my face to them and that I was disgrace to the family. They also said that they now regret not getting an abortion when they had a chance. As well not too long ago my emotional support animal died because he ran off into the street and got ran over. His name was Thor.. He was golden retriever. And today not only I got disowned by my parents but I got fired from my job and my landlord decided to kick me out of the apartment I was renting because he needed it for personal reasons and now I have to move out in a week" San said once in a while glancing at Wooyoung and wiping a tear off.
San felt like a rock fell from his chest. He felt lighter and stronger. He felt safe. San also regretted it a bit just because Wooyoung was a person he just met. It could turn our very well or very bad and he was hoping for the first one.
