(LEVY'S POV)

"Hey, no more crying now. Aunt Mira is gonna be back with your milk bottle in no time." I rocked the little baby in my arms while pacing back in forth in the guild library.

I heard the doors opening and turned my gaze towards it. It must be Mira. "Thanks a lot, Mir-"

"Not Mira but you're welcome, shrimp."

A tall figure walked in and handed me the milk bottle. "Gajeel? What are you doing here?"

"Mira practically forced me. She kept repeating something about her ships?" He looked confused while recalling the events. Of course, Mira said that.

I awkwardly laughed, "this girl..."

"Anyways, looks like you're on baby duty today. How's she been treating you?" He sat on the chair while looking at me with an amused expression.

"She's an absolute sweetheart. Natsu and Lucy have been working extra hard for her, I really wish it pays off well and they're able to provide her with all that she needs. Helping them during such difficult times is the most we can do, right?" I said while smiling down at the guild's little bundle of joy.

"You got that right. I never thought I'd be saying this but having a baby around here has been quite the scene." He lowly chuckled before continuing. "She has lifted everyone's mood recently, especially Lucy's."

I pressed her lips in a thin line. "I know Lu-chan tries her best to not make it obvious but she can't hide it forever. After our last battle, peace has come banging on Fairy Tail's doorstep after a long time... and Lucy has paid the biggest price both times. Now I just want her to be happy finally and I can tell Nashi is just the beginning of it." I noticed Nashi smile at the mention of her 'mother's' name and wave her around in excitement. Gajeel was amused by her reaction like he'd never seen something like that before.

"I hope for that too." He mumbled in a voice barely audible but enough for me to hear. I slightly smiled at his shyness to admit his love for his guild members. Nashi followed my gaze and looked at Gajeel too. She extended her arms towards him while staring at him with her huge glass ball eyes. Gajeel looked taken back and looked at me in confusion. I nodded my head in excitement and urged him to pick her up. He's been watching over her from a distance for the last week. Spending some alone time would help both of them get familiar with each other.

He hesitantly held her under her arms and both of them stared at each other until Nashi broke into a huge toothless smile. Gajeel's face heated up as he couldn't help but blush at how adorable Nashi was.

I helped him place her comfortably in his arms and brought the milk bottle near her mouth. She instantly let it rest in her mouth. I pulled my chair close to Gajeel without letting go of the bottle in order to be within a good reach of her.

(GAJEEL'S POV)

She's sitting so close to me, I'm scared she'll hear how fast my heart is racing. It's pathetic, Gajeel Redfox feeling all warm and fuzzy cuz of a girl and a baby. Is this what they call being a family man?

I noticed the loving smile never leaving her face as she watched Nashi happily drink her milk.

"You really love children, don't you?"

Her smile grew wider, "so much, I can't even describe. They're literally the cutest beings to ever exist!"

"So, you'd want your own baby one day?"

She paused for a few seconds at my sudden question, "what's with the weird quest-"

"Just answer it."

She looked away and tried to focus her gaze anywhere but on me. "O-Of course, one day... I'd like to have kids of my own... someday." She inhaled deeply and looked at Nashi again. "I know I'm not ready to take such a huge responsibility right now, that's why I really admire Lu-chan and everything she's doing for Nashi, for someone who isn't even her own child. It's so admirable and I want to be like her one day. An independent woman, a strong mage and a great mother." She lightly rubbed Nashi's cheek with a warm smile on her lips.

"Well, that's good for me to know."

Her face turned red mimicking a tomato, "w-what's that supposed to mean?"

"Just good general information for the future," I said before taking the bottle from her hand and getting up from my chair.

She looked confused and absolutely lost at my actions. "W-Wait... where are you going? And... I still don't get what you're talking about." Yet she still followed after me.

"To the library. Didn't you buy her those children's books? It's time for her first lesson and for you to get used to parenting too. Early birds catch the worms."

"Huh? I bought those for future use, she's too young to learn how to read right now. She doesn't even have teeth!"

"And about the future, we talk more. So, how many kids do you want to have?"

"CUT IT OUT!"
