Blinking my eyes a few times everything comes into focus. I hate the fogging feeling the medication makes me feel and not be aware of everything.
I feel the blanket over me and I am sitting slightly up right. I pull the blanket up and look down at myself. I can feel it is still there. Pulling my gown up some, I let out a sigh of relief.
Thank God, I don't see needle holes on my dick.
"How are you feeling?" Holly's voice floats over to me.
Turning my head to the side, I see her typing on the computer next to the monitors connected to me.
"I feel good." I cough slightly.
Good grief the pain that just shot through my lower back with the cough, has me holding my breath. One simple cough set out the pain that I didn't realize was there.
"Did you really think we would have done something to your penis?" Holly tries to stiffle her laugh unsuccessfully.
"Well, had me nervous with everything being close to the area." I smirk.
The thought that she may have seen my package has my heart rate tick up a bit. Holly looks to the monitors and then to me.
"How much pain are you in?"
"Not much at all." I lie straight through my teeth, but I don't want her worrying about me. I wanted to do this for Nicolas and knew it could be possible.
"Uh huh." Holly nods barely and hits a button on the machine.
The blood pressure cuff starts to go and gets my readings. Once it lets the air out and the numbers come up on the screen that I can't see, Holly clicks her tongue at me.
"Your blood pressure and other readings are telling me differently than your words are." She looks at me knowingly.
"How is Nicolas?" I ask, wanting to deflect but also majorly concerned about him.
"He is sleeping again by the time I came back down after seeing him once you was here in recovery. Don't change the subject like that either." Holly chides.
"Scale of one to ten." She puts her hands on her hips.
Letting out a small breath. "Three."
Holly goes to open her mouth to say something but I cut her off.
"If I am not moving it is barely there. Just the cough set it off some and when I shifted after I felt pain in my lower back and hip area." I am honest with her.
It must make her happy when she nods and smiles again. Is it bad even hurting some, I get a little turned on with her a little sassy. This is a different part I hadn't seen from her, but it shows how much she cares and wants honesty.
"I can give you pain medication if your willing to take it." Holly pipes up again.
"No thank you. I would rather just deal."
"Fine but if your blood pressure gets higher than where it is right now, I will have to give you something to take the edge off so your numbers go down."
"How are you feeling Mr. Winters?" Dr. Moore walks in.
"Sore but good otherwise."
"Good, we will keep monitoring you over the next twenty-four to forty-eight hours and then we will release you. That way we won't be poking and proding you anymore than need be." He nods.
"Thanks. When can I get back to the room?" I ask, needing to see Nicolas.
Dr. Moore looks to Holly and tells her that it is her call, because he is letting her be the head person here too.
"I can wheel you to the room, but strict bed rest for the next several hours. The room is big enough to have your bed in there along with Nicolas's or you can sit in the chair or lounge on the couch." Holly offers.
"I will gladly sit in the chair." I smile.
They bring in a wheelchair and put a pillow down on the bottom of the seat and then one of the sides and the back seat. With both of their help, I get out of the bed and my hips are stiff. It actually feels good with the small walk to the wheelchair.
"Walking actually helps the pain some." I sigh when sitting in the chair.
"That is good but you don't need to walk without any help. You started circling some on us." Holly sighs.
"I don't feel dizzy though."
"It is more than likely part of the anesthesia wearing off still but could be from the harvest too." Holly unlocks the brakes and puts things in the back pocket before wheeling me back to the room.
I lean up and turn the knob on the door when we reach the room. Nicolas is laying on the bed asleep and Tony is working on his computer.
"Hey man. How you doing?" Tony looks up.
"Not to bad." I grunt a little when standing some the wheelchair to sit in the chair that has become the best spot in this room.
"Daddy?" Nicolas stirs and rolling facing me, with his eyes open.
"Hey buddy." I smile.
"It is funny seeing you in a dress still but you match me." Nicolas giggles.
"That I do buddy. How was you while I was getting everything done?"
"I was so good for Uncle Tony. Holly came in and she let me give her hugs. We watched some of my show and when she started brushing through my hair I fell asleep." He smiles.
"That is awesome buddy."
"I have to get out to the shop due to some customers coming in for pictures. Will you guys be okay?" Tony stands.
"I got them Tony." Holly pipes up.
"We are good thank you. I understand you needing to help out customers." I nod to him. Tony hugs Nicolas and pats my shoulder lightly.
Tony has done so much and as a close friend and business partner a person could ask for someone better. Right now, I miss taking photographs but I refuse to leave my son so I work on my career.
"I have to go and make sure everything is getting ready for the transplant. We plan to start that in a little over an hour. I will come in to check on you again before then." Holly puts a blanket over my legs and gives Nicolas a hug.
"Make sure he stays sitting down for me okay? Jack doesn't need to get up without any help." Holly talks to Nicolas who nods and smiles, proud that he is going to get to help watch me.
Holly smirks to me and leaves the room. Nicolas and I watch his shows, relaxing back into the chair. There is still some exhuastion from everything and I lean my head back resting my eyes some.
