A certain dark gray haired girl was stuck on the rooftop of the high school staring at the cloudy gray sky. She was sitting down near the railway having lunch alone. The door opened as another girl walked in
"Vill-V? Ah you're here..." The green haired girl said
"Hey Klein" Vill-V said
"Mind if I join in?" Klein asked
"Go ahead. I could use some company..." Vill-V said and Klein walked up to her before sitting down next to her. She looked to the side noticing her bandages arms hiding underneath her sleeves
"...are you doing it again?" Klein asked
"It's fine. I don't do it so often. Don't worry so much..." Vill-V said
"You know you're always welcome to crash into my place whenever you need company. Or if you want to get away from your family..." Klein said
"Yeah...I know and please don't call them family. They're not..." Vill-V said with a slight harsh tone. The two girls ate in peace in the rooftop until Klein broke the silence between them
"Want a join a club or something?" Klein asked
"Nah...rather not interact with people" Vill-V said
"Have you heard the news about them?" Klein asked
"Eden and Elysia? Of course I heard. Everyone is talking about it. We all knew it was going to happen" Vill-V said
"A match made in heaven" Klein said
"It must be nice to be paired with someone rich. Eden seems the type to spoil her..." Vill-V said
"It's my first time witnessing soulmates" Klein said
"Oh you never believed in that stuff?" Vill-V asked
"It's rare right?" Klein asked
"Very rare. Not everyone gets a soulmate. Only a small number of people have soulmates" Vill-V said
"But it only manifests when you meet them?" Klein asked
"Yeah...which can suck sometimes. I mean some people who already made a family with someone will end up leaving them after finding their soulmate" Vill-V said
"Wait...that can happen?" Klein asked
"...yeah. It can. They forget their family like they never existed in the first place all because of their damn soulmate" Vill-V said

"...are there any side effects for avoiding a soulmate?" Klein asked
"Well I don't really know. Why not search it-wait...why are you asking me?" Vill-V asked as she turned to look at her. Klein remained quiet until Vill-V realized what was going on
"You have a soulmate, don't you?" Vill-V asked and Klein lowered her head
"I-it...uhm...yeah it happened" Klein said
"Eh!? Really?!" Vill-V exclaimed and Klein nodded
"Let me see your eyes!" Vill-V said as she grabbed Klein's face
"H-hey!" Klein exclaimed and Vill-V noticed the difference in her right eye
"Oh shit...you really do have a soulmate. Shouldn't you be happy or excited?" Vill-V asked letting go of her
"Uhm...well..." Klein paused as she looked to the side
"By the way...who is your soulmate?" Vill-V asked
"...Mobius..." Klein said and Vill-V's expression turned into shock
"W-wait...isn't she the second year student who's known to be deadly dangerous?" Vill-V asked
"Yeah.." Klein said
"Ah jeez...no wonder you want to avoid her" Vill-V said
"W-well I mean...it doesn't sound so bad..." Klein said
"Eh? What do you mean by that? Wait...do you actually have feelings for her?" Vill-V asked and Klein's cheeks burned up a bit
"Wow...your face says it all. Good luck then. You'll probably be able to date her since you two are soulmates. Does she know?" Vill-V asked
"I ran away so I'm not sure..." Klein said
"Well you really can't run away from her. They say once it manifests then there's no turning back. Your right eye will turn into the same color as your soulmate's eye color until you two form a bond" Vill-V said
"So it's impossible to avoid them?" Klein asked
"Hmmm...I'm not sure. I mean that eye of yours won't change back to your natural color unless you both bond. You've already witnessed it with Eden and Elysia. It only took them like a week for them to finally bond" Vill-V said
"What happens after bonding?" Klein asked
"Uhhhhh you're stuck with your partner forever? I don't know. Ask Eden or Elysia about it if you have any questions. Although I heard some say that people who find their soulmate and avoid them start getting sick. It's like you can't live without them by your side..." Vill-V said
"Haaa...great" Klein said and Vill-V patted her head
"It'll be okay. I'm sure everything will be fine" Vill-V said
"I'm just nervous...you're literally paired with someone you barely know" Klein said
"That's why you go out on dates to know them better. Also it's your soulmate so I'm pretty sure you both are meant to be together. You already like her so nothing to worry about" Vill-V said

After lunch, the two girls headed back down to their class
"You plan on covering your right eye? Yeah good luck with that. Soulmates will find a way to bump into each other" Vill-V said
"Haaa...I'm not ready" Klein said
"You'll be fine. You're soulmates. Not like she will reject you...I think? Just ask Eden and Elysia for advice on this soulmate stuff. You'll be fine" Vill-V said looking at her and accidentally bumped into someone
"Ah! S-sorry! I'm sorry I wasn't...l-looking" Vill-V said as she lifted her head up meeting up with a pair of blue eyes
"Please watch where you're going next time" The taller girl said with a gentle voice

Vill-V felt an odd sensation inside her chest and all over her body. Her body trembled a bit before snapping back to reality
"Y-yeah...I will be more careful. U-uh sorry..." Vill-V said as she looked away and walked away but felt the girl grab her arm
"H-huh? H-hey I-" Vill-V paused as the girl grabbed her chin making her look at her. Soon she noticed something going on with the girl's eye
"Guess I've finally found you..." The girl said, caressing her cheek. Vill-V blushed before pushing her away
"I-I need to go! Bye!" Vill-V said running away from her
WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT ABOUT!? Why was my body behaving like that!?
Vill-V stopped to catch her breath and panted heavily. She leaned against the wall and sighed deeply
"Ugh...what the fuck..." Vill-V mumbled
"Vill-V!!" Klein said as she caught up to her
"H-huh? Oh h-hey Klein" Vill-V said
"You okay? What happened to you?" Klein asked
"Y-yeah I'm fine just...I don't know what's wrong but-"
"Your eye..." Klein said
"Eh? What?" Vill-V asked
"Wait...was she your soulmate?" Klein asked
"H-hey don't joke around like that" Vill-V said slightly nervous
"I'm not. It's clearly blue" Klein said and Vill-V immediately ran to the bathrooms nearby

She reached the bathrooms and went inside heading for the sinks. She stared at herself in the mirror and noticed the different color in her eye. Vill-V trembled as she touched her right eye and rubbed her eyes
"N-no this...no...no..." Vill-V said as she kept rubbing her eyes

Vill-V looked at the mirror again and kept seeing her right eye. She shook her head and got some water to splash on her face
"It's not true...it's just not..." Vill-V said and sighed deeply
"What's with you and running away?" Klein asked as she reached the bathrooms
"Fuck..." Vill-V said looking down
"What was that all about?" Klein asked
"N-nothing. Uhm...I just thought you were joking because it happened to you" Vill-V said
"You don't look so happy about it either" Klein said
"Of course I'm not. How the hell did someone like me even get a soulmate?" Vill-V asked as she looked down
"It'd be nice to have someone by your side to comfort you and care for you. Don't you think so?" Klein asked
"...you already know why I'm like this. Someone like me doesn't deserve a soulmate. Anyways I really don't want to cause problems or be a bother for my soulmate. I wouldn't even make a good partner to be honest..." Vill-V said
"Is that why you ran away?" Klein asked
"Forget it. I don't even know who she was. Damnit...she better not try and come chase me" Vill-V said
"Well...I ended up giving her your name" Klein said and Vill-V groaned
"Fuck...did you also tell her what class I'm in?" Vill-V asked
"Uhhh...probably?" Klein said and Vill-V slammed her head against the wall
"Vill-V!" Klein exclaimed as she grabbed her
"Great...now it'll be difficult to avoid her if she knows where my class is. I'm screwed..." Vill-V said
"Why would you even want to avoid her? Besides you said you can't avoid a soulmate" Klein said
"Do you know who she is?" Vill-V asked
"Aponia is quite popular and well known around here. She's a second year student and a member of the student council. That's why she's very popular and because many people like her" Klein said
"Aponia? Doesn't ring a bell for me. That's my first time seeing her" Vill-V said
"Do you plan on running away?" Klein asked
"...I rather not think about it. For now I should try to avoid her. Unfortunately I will have problems avoiding her because a certain someone couldn't keep their mouth shut..." Vill-V said looking at Klein
"Sorry..." Klein said
"I must find a way to break this" Vill-V said
"Is that even possible?" Klein asked

"Shut up please. Just...I'll handle this on my own. You worry about yourself and your soulmate who will eventually catch you. So be careful with her if she ever finds you" Vill-V said forcing a smile
"I understand" Klein said
"Let's get out of here. We need to head to class right?" Vill-V said as she wrapped an arm around her and walked out of the bathroom
Shit...why did it have to happen to me? I can't...I can't accept this. There must be a way to get rid of this. I'd only make her life miserable with me around...
