Flashback

In the morning I woke up from some noise in the kitchen.

I got up and went into the kitchen. At first I thought I still hadn't woken up. The kitchen was cleaner than usual and there was food on the table. Real hot food. Noticing me, Bora said:

- Good morning, I've been a little bossy, I hope you don't mind?" The woman smiled.

- What? No, I... probably, the stove was surprised when it was turned on," I still could not come to my senses," but where did you ... get the food?

- From the store, were there other options? Your fridge was empty.

- Sorry, I just rarely cook ... " I was embarrassed. In fact, I just didn't have enough money to fill, so I didn't even turn it on.

- Go wash your face and we'll have breakfast," Bora commanded and turned to the stove, on which something else was being prepared.

I, still in a state of shock, went to the bathroom. There I found shampoos, gels, a washcloth still in the package and at the bottom there were several packs of powder. Suddenly, I felt somehow uncomfortable. She is beautiful, rich, successful, came and bought me food, all sorts of bottles, things that I could not afford. What is it? Charity? A pity? An act of goodwill? I looked at the glass and saw that the toothbrush was also new. Something trendy and bright. Mine was the most common, the cheapest. I sighed and abruptly left the bathroom.

- Where is my toothbrush? "I asked. Bora laid out food on plates. It's good that the plates were not new, but mine. With chips and cracks.

- I bought you a new one," the woman answered calmly, not even looking at me.

I gritted my teeth and went back to the bathroom. This was my toothbrush. I bought it myself. I earned her. All those bottles and jars too. However, I brushed my teeth, then gathered everything she had bought into a bag and returned to the kitchen.

- Bora, don't do this," I put the bag next to the stove," I don't need handouts and charity. I am able to provide for myself.

She gave me a serious look, and dried her hands with a towel.

- It's not handouts. It's...consider it my gratitude. I know you won't take the money, so...

- I won't take that either. Thank you, I think that the breakfast is enough. And if you bought food, take that too," I sat down at the table and stared at the plate. I felt that she was looking at me.

- Don't look at me," I muttered, breaking off a piece of bread.

- Why are you giving up everything? You know that this is not difficult for me, I do not demand anything in return and I am not trying to humiliate you with this ..." she began, but I immediately interrupted her.

- But you humiliate me with all this things," I said firmly. From the metal in my voice, she did not dare to argue, so she silently went to the table and also began to have breakfast.

Omelet with bacon, cheese, some kind of salad, waffles. I felt like I was in an American movie. And I have breakfast with a beauty with a lot of money and a huge car. I didn't want the fairy tale to end, but reality surrounded me. One could only look out the window, at the cracked glass, and it became clear that we were like two parallel universes that inexplicably intersected. And it had to end. Because the longer it goes on, the harder it will be to stop it.

We ate breakfast in absolute silence. The only sound was the clatter of cutlery on plates. I pushed the plate away and, after thanking Bora, put down in the sink.

- I'll get dressed, change the wheel and you can go home," I said and turned around to go into the room.

- I could stay another day...
