Our relationship with Yoohyeon developed rapidly. I bought for her flower bouquets, took her to the cinema, restaurants, she invited me to her place, we spent evenings alone, sometimes invited Handong and Dami, who were still dating, and ... that's it.
After Yoohyeon's birthday, I never saw her friends again. When she occasionally met with them, she came up with any excuse not to take me with her. Either this is a close bachelorette party, or a closed event, or everyone was asked to come without their partner. I, like an obedient girlfriend, nodded my head, accepting it all. But each time I realized that it was all very strange. She gladly went to meetings with my friends, but she did not let me into her life. What can I say that even when I took her to her mother, the road to the apartment was closed to me. I tried to carefully find out the reason for her behavior, to find out why she was desperately hiding me, but Yoohyeon somehow waved it off, referring that this was not so and everything was fine.
A few months passed, it was the end of winter. I was happy with Yoohyeon, her presence in my life, but I missed Bora. She was an important person to me, and I longed for our fellowship with her. No, she did not avoid me, did not leave conversations, but I understood that everything had somehow changed. She became more careful. One incident in particular showed me this. I was going home when I saw that Bora was still sitting in the office. It was almost 8 Pm, everyone had long gone, and I was finishing the report. I looked into her office and heard her cursing.
- Everything is fine?" I asked as I walked into her office.
- Not really. I'm already calling a third company to call mechanics to change the wheel, and they are either only available in a couple of hours, or they are no longer working.
- What about your wheel?
- I came across a curb, cut it off. And I, as you remember, am not friends with wheels.
- Why haven't you told me?" I frowned.
- What should I say?" Bora did not look at me, dialing the number of another company.
- I can change the wheels, if you remember. Couldn't you have asked me?
Bora looked at me seriously and, after thinking for a second, answered:
- I didn't mean to bother you with such trifles. We are in a modern society, we have many companies that make money on this. Why should I distract someone?
- Damn it, Bora!" I slammed my hand on the table" I'm not someone. I can help you and I will gladly do it. You know it. Why are you like this?" I finished in a calm voice.
- Sorry, I didn't think it was so important for you," she obviously didn't expect such a reaction from me.
- Important. Let's go, I'll do it. Since you're so unlucky with wheels and tires.
The woman obediently got up, packed her things, and we left the building. I turned on my car to warm up and headed to the Porsche. Opening the trunk and taking out the jack, I removed the spare tire and went to the punctured wheel. Bora walked away, talking on the phone. Suddenly, someone grabbed my shoulders. I turned around.
- Yoohyeon? What are you doing here?" I was surprised by her visit. She said she went home.
- I decided to make a surprise," the girl smiled and kissed me on the nose," what a familiar car.
- Yes," I smiled nervously. When I confessed to Yoohyeon that I was not a fucking director, she asked whose car it was. I said a friend. I didn't go into details about what kind of friend I was and didn't tell about Bora.
-She needed help, to change the wheel," I pointed.
- Your friend works with you?" Yoohyeon asked.
- Well, yes...
