Percy woke up feeling better than he had felt in a few months, sleeping after a long time without it does that to you. He stretched, wincing at all the loud pops and cracks that came from his back. Thee first thing that he noticed was that he was wearing a shirt. Must've been one of the hunters he thought, feeling a bit embarrassed that a man hating female had dressed him but soon shook his head, clearing the fogginess and embarrassment off and took a good look at his surroundings. As he predicted he was still on a bed in the infirmary tent, which also meant that he was still in the hunters camp. This made him sigh in relief as he didn't want to face the Olympians in the state that he was in.
He hopped off the bed, bouncing twice on his feet to get more energized and started walking towards the entrance. As he was reaching for the flap it opened and something crashed into him, making him loose all his air in his lungs and falling on his back, with the person on top of him. Before he could even process what had just happened he heard a small shriek and the weight disappeared in a second. Standing up, he rubbed his back trying to ease the pain and looked at the person that had crushed him and imagine the surprised look that he had when he saw the man hating goddess in front of him, so red that one might've thought that a pint of red paint had fallen on her and he was pretty sure that he was in the same conditions that she was in. His mouth opened and closed, like a gaping fish, trying to form anything or force something out of his mouth but nothing came.
Artemis had finally slept after hours of tossing and turning on her bed and was glad to sleep a dreamless sleep. Since it was already 4 in the morning she only had 3 hours of sleep but since she's a goddess she felt rejuvenated as if she'd slept a whole 9 hours of sleep. Being a goddess had it's perks. She woke up at 7 am, did her normal morning routine, like wash her face, shower etc.. She could just snap her fingers and be done with it but she enjoyed the warm feeling of the water on her skin and she wanted to feel more 'normal' around her hunters, meaning adapting to the human routine in everyday life. When she was ready, she walked out of her tent and was surprised to see that none of her hunters had woke up at this time though remembering how late yesterday they went to sleep she allowed it, only for today though. She headed straight towards the informer tent to check up on Percy.
That man was something else in her opinion. When she first met him she thought that he was like the rest, his walk showed confidence that she didn't like one bit, and when he took Ares she thought that he was all talk and no action, that he was another egotistic spawn of her uncle. She was proven wrong when he defeated Ares without breaking a sweat, and looking closer in his aura she found out that it wasn't an overconfident aura but one that was the leader type, that he'd do anything to help and that you'll feel safe when you're around him. That was why she had started to take a liking towards him, in a friendly way of course. At first she was skeptical since years of thinking men were one thing then a male comes the next second proving that there are still good men in this world made her cautious, since she thought that this was all an act to get on her families good side, but months after their encounter she realized that this was truly a good man and did nothing for fame and glory but for love and family.
As her train of thought continued, she had failed to notice that she had already arrived to the infirmary tent and kept on going inside, only for her to crash and fall on someone. She shook her head to clear her thoughts and blushed when she realized what position the two were in and more so that she was on Percy. As quick as lightning she stood up and moved a bit to the side, trying and failing to contain the heat that was rising on her cheek. Looking up she noticed that Percy was, too, blushing hard and looking down. Clearing her throat, she spoke up, trying her best not to stammer over her words "What are you doing out of your bed? You still need to recover all the sleep that you had lost, and your injuries still haven't healed completely." Her tone went from someone that was having a very hard time to keep her act together to a tone of worry and caring. "Don't worry Artemis, I'm feeling good, better than I have in months to be exact, so thank you." He responded, ending with a smile.
Artemis smiled back, fighting the rising heat that was spreading throughout her body. She knew why she felt this way and, even though she had never experienced it herself, 2 millennia of living in the human world she picked up a few things here and there, even if it was something that concerned love, so all in all she knew what this feeling was and it was foreign, but she wasn't going to push it away, knowing that that would only make the situation worse for her, so accepting it was her only choice. The other thing that concerned her was if Percy would return them but she'll just have to find out as time goes.
