All the gods shook their heads feeling a bit of remorse for the person that was going to endure all it that pain. They knew that if he were mortal or a demigod he would disintegrate from Zeus's lightning bolt, if he somehow manages to evade that he'll surely go flying with the tsunami coming his way and, if by some unexplained miracle he survives, Hades dog will chew him to a pulp. The only thing that the 11 gods could do was watch and hope that the person gets a peaceful death. The other 3 that were causing this commotion just smiled smugly thinking that they've done something huge.
Artemis knew that she wouldn't be fast enough to protect him from the projectiles that were coming his way. She knew that Percy was one heck of a powerful demigod but she didn't have that much confidence in him surviving this attack. Of course Percy had to prove her wrong when all the smoke cleared. There he was, gently petting the huge dog as if it were his pet, and a shield of ice had protected him from the lightning bolt while Poseidon's tidal wave was turned into that ice that protected him.
The gods were, to say the least, gob smacked by this outcome. They weren't expecting him to survive such a blast nor a 2 million ton, three headed dog but here that person was, proving that the impossible was indeed possible. The Big Three had long since abandoned their previous argument and were seething with anger as how this mere mortal was totally unaffected by their strongest weapons/pet.
Percy continued to pet Cerberus as if he was his domestic pet and to be fair, he kinda was. Since Hades and Percy had gotten close, the god of the dead granted the powerful demigod unlimited access to the underworld, which Percy felt honored to have. This also meant that he played with the 'fearful' Cerberus fetch and had also gotten closer to Hades wife, Persephone, who was a very sweet and caring woman.
Back to the present Percy could be found being showered in saliva as Cerberus continuously licked him, not giving the poor demigod a chance to breath. Artemis found this sight quite amusing and burst out laughing at her friends current predicament, which snapped the shocked gods back to the present. As soon as they got a good look at the man in front of them they all smiled a smile that could put Apollo's to shame and shouted, in unison, "Percy!!"
The Big Three all had a look of realization on their face once they got a good look at the male in front of them and true to their family the person was indeed Perseus Jackson, or better known as Percy. As if by some unknown signal all the gods, save for Artemis, jumped forwards and crushed Percy in a hug, one that would've incapacitated him if not for his curse/blessing of the Styx. Percy was finally allowed to breath once they got off of him, and the sight was one to laugh at. All the gods had a bit of saliva dripping down from them, since they apparently forgot that their friend had been nearly licked to death by one of the gods pets.
Once they snapped away the disgusting slob off of themselves, and Percy, they seated their thrones once again, still beaming at the son of Poseidon, even The Big Three forgetting what their had been previously about and sorely focusing on their long lost friend. "Soooooooooo...." Percy began "I'm back." This made a couple of gods chuckle at his awkward and obvious statement. "Indeed you have son, and on behalf of the counsel it really is god to have you back." Poseidon said, still beaming down at his son.
Artemis, who had assumed her position on her throne, smiled as she looked around the throne room. They were all acting like a family again, happy and not arguing over childish things. Hera and Hestia were also smiled warmly at the sight, savoring this rare moment of peace, especially in this situation. Percy looked at the three most powerful gods with an accusing glare, which was just as bad as if Hestia was giving you a very disappointed look. This resulted in the brothers to bow their heads down in shame as they knew what was in store in them once they saw the look on their saviors' face.
"I've heard that you've been arguing over petty and stupid things and, in doing so, hurt people who got in your way." Percy said, in a very disappointed tone, making the said gods bow their head further down and blush in embarrassment. This caused the other gods to outright laugh, even Ares cracked a smile. "Sorry Percy, but how do you expect us to act with all thaat's going on down on Earth?" Hades asked, his tone not unkind, but with a certain stiffness to it. The air around seemed to turn darker with the mention of the war.
Percy sighed and knew that his uncle was correct, that it was probably though seeing your own kids fighting each other and killing millions of innocent lived due to this predicament. He also knew that he couldn't change the dates nor the events but they could help the people during the war without disturbing the flow of time itself. In both the Titan and Giant war he could've interfered since it was in the olden times and one demigod couldn't effect the outcome that much. But that was in the golden age, a time before technology and stuff like that could take a picture or viedo footage of a person. Now, in the 1940's, people have advanced greatly in their intelligence and therefore created fingerprint identification and blood identification. Even though he was never technically born in this era, and his DNA would be messed up, they could still track his granddad or grandmom and put them in danger. He didn't want that.
And that was when he came up with a plan, which to be fair wasn't all that bad. This mught actually be one of his best yet. Percy smiled at the idea and was about to voice his thoughts when a VERY confused god jumped up and did a time out sign with his hands, as if they were in basketball. Percy mentally laughed at that thought but made a confused face on the outside. Confused as to what had brought that on. "Who the hell is this guy??!?!"
