"you're going to the super m concert in seoul in a week?!" shotaro yelled in a high-pitched voice, disturbing the peaceful atmosphere that had taken place around the boys before donghyuck had made his announcement."and you have a v.i.p. ticket?!" sungchan added on the same tone, looking as shocked as the rest of his friends.
the eight boys were chilling on the terrace of their favourite coffee shop, all of them occasionally taking sips of their drinks. they had all finished their classes an hours ago, and since it was friday, they had decided to hang out together in one of their favourite places.
everything was going fine until jeno had peeked on donghyuck's phone while the boy looked through his pictures, thus seeing the v.i.p. ticket for the super m concert that mark had sent donghyuck a week prior. and this had led to the state of shock that donghyuck's friends were in right now.
"yeah..." donghyuck smiled sheepishly, fidgeting with his fingers.
"i thought you were too broke to afford a ticket?" renjun frowned.
"yeah, plus a v.i.p. ticket? that shit costs at least 300,000 won!" jaemin nodded immediately.
"well..." donghyuck thought for a while. he didn't want to tell his friends that it was a gift from mark. first of all because they didn't know – except for jaemin – that mark and him had exchanged numbers, and then, because he knew that they would start imagining things if he told them mark had gifted him this ticket. "i found the ticket a few days ago on a resale website... the person was selling it quite low because they couldn't go to the concert, so i bought it immediately."
donghyuck's friends blinked collectively.
"how much did you pay?" chenle asked with a brow raised.
"100,000 won..." donghyuck replied hesitantly.
"100,000?! who the hell would resale a 300,000 won ticket at 100,000 won?!" sungchan dramatically snorted.
"oh my god hyuck, are you stupid?" jaemin groaned, slamming his head on his forehead.
"this was a trick, you got played..." jisung sighed.
"no, it isn't." donghyuck shook his head.
"donghyuck, it isn't possible." jeno told.
"i swear it's a real and official ticket." donghyuck assured – of course, he knew that the ticket was real, but he doubted his friends would ever believe what he was saying.
"you're so naïve..." renjun sighed. "think about it for a second. that person lost 200,000 won by selling you at 100,000 won a ticket they bought at 300,000 won!"
donghyuck crossed his arms over his chest. "look, i'm not in the head of the seller. i don't know why they did that, but i have my ticket and that's all that matters."
"but donghyuck! you are- "
"babe, don't get angry." jeno cut renjun's sentence, placing a hand on his boyfriend's thigh. "you know how stubborn donghyuck is... he'll never admit he is wrong."
"because i am not." donghyuck huffed.
"we'll see that next week, when you'll be blocked at the entrance of the concert because you'll have a fake ticket." jaemin rolled his eyes.
"sure. and don't be mad when i send you the videos of super m from the v.i.p. area." donghyuck clapped his hands.
the boy's friends sighed collectievely, not understanding how donghyuck could be so careless with his money. anyway, sometimes, the best way to learn your lesson was to fail miserably. and it seemed like donghyuck hadn't learnt enough life lessons yet.
