mark couldn't contain his smile as he swiped through his picture gallery on his phone, studying in detail each and every picture he had taken with donghyuck. there weren't many of them, but mark didn't mind watching the same pictures over and over again.

"what has you smiling like a lovestruck girl?" lucas' voice made mark jump on his seat and throw his phone in the air.

with his fast reflexes, lucas caught the phone mid-air effortlessly.

"n-nothing!" mark shook his head, holding his hand out for lucas to hand him back his phone.

sadly, the older idol peeked at mark's phone, his eyes widening when he saw a picture of mark and donghyuck side by side in a park, both smiling at the camera.

"you were looking at a picture of donghyuck and yourself?!" lucas gasped. "when did you even take this picture?"

"t-the 'one day with super m' thing." mark stuttered, his cheeks burning as he was exposed.

"oh, you were with him for the two hours." lucas nodded, studying the picture more in detail; mark even noticed him zooming on donghyuck's face. "lucky you." he added, locking the phone and giving it back to mark.

"yeah..." mark nodded.

a silence took place between the two boys for a while until a red-faced mark coughed, catching lucas' attention.

"say... would you like to... huh... hang out with donghyuck...?" mark hesitated, side glancing at his member.

yeah, asking this question hurt mark – quite a lot – considering he had developed a crush on the golden fanboy. but mark knew very well that donghyuck's favourite member was lucas, and that he was sad that he couldn't spend some time with his bias during the 'one day with super m' program because ryuwon had been chosen to be with lucas. and as all mark wanted was to make donghyuck happy, he imagined allowing lucas and him to hang out together would be a great thing to do – even if it pained him.

"hang out with donghyuck?" lucas repeated with a brow raised.

"yeah, like... spending some time together, just chilling in a café or something like that." mark specified.

"i mean... yes, i'd love that!" lucas nodded with a smile. "donghyuck is really cute, and he's a sweetheart, that's for sure."

mark hummed in approval.

"wait, why are you asking?" the chinese male frowned.

"well..." mark rubbed his nape. "you're his favourite member so... i guessed he would be ecstatic if he could spend an afternoon with you."

"oh, yeah." lucas nodded. "but this doesn't mean i'll actually be able to spend an afternoon with him."

"you never know." mark shrugged.

"huh... i don't see how this can be possible considering that i'm an idol, he's a fan, and we have absolutely no ways of communicating together to set up a meeting."

mark kept his head low at those words.

yeah, of course. they had no way of communicating together.

he wasn't going to tell lucas that he had asked donghyuck for his number and that they had been talking daily ever since. and he would never mention that he bought donghyuck a v.i.p. ticket to their concert a few days ago. definitely not. who knew what the managers could do if they came to learn about it?
