"hey! isn't that lucas from super m?!""what?!"
"where?!"
"lucas!"
"oh my god!"
lucas and donghyuck who had been peacefully walking side by side turned around at the sudden squeals, only to gasp when they understood what had just happened.
"oh shit." lucas cursed. "run!"
before donghyuck could process what was happening fully, lucas's hand grabbed his own, and donghyuck found himself being dragged across the streets of seoul.
lucas and him giggled together as they tried running away from the fangirls who were determined to have a small interaction with lucas.
thankfully, a few minutes into their chase, the thunder was heard, and soon, rain started pouring, discouraging a few fangirls. but a herd of them was still following donghyuck and lucas with their phones out.
"lu... cas..." donghyuck panted, completely out of breath because of all the running. he wasn't a sporty type of person, and he had just reached his maximum capacity.
"don't worry, i know a place we can hide." lucas replied immediately, checking at the girls behind them. he smiled as he noticed they were not so close, allowing lucas and donghyuck to have a bit of time to hide.
"quick, here!" lucas exclaimed as he turned around the corner and pulled donghyuck against his chest.
the tanned male breathed heavily, falling on top of lucas and making both of them land on the ground in the mini alleyway lucas had brought them in.
both stayed silent as the group of fans ran past the alleyway, not bothering to check it as it was a dead-end. the loud echo of their steps on the wet pavement died down as they got further and further away from lucas and donghyuck.
"oh... my... god..." donghyuck panted, lying his head back on lucas' chest to take his breath again. he had done enough sport for the next year at that point.
"you aright?" lucas chuckled, looking at the boy that was lying on top of him, patting his head.
donghyuck then acknowledged the position they were in, making him blush and stand up immediately.
"sorry!" he mumbled, helping lucas to stand up as well.
"it's okay, don't worry." lucas laughed it off.
"are fans always like this?" donghyuck asked after a while.
"some of them are." lucas shrugged. "but they tend to be even crazier when we are hanging out with other idols or people they don't know."
"oh..." donghyuck blinked, realising that he had surely caught the attention of a few fans since he was hanging out with lucas.
"yeah." lucas sighed. "honestly, i love being an idol. but yeah, privacy doesn't exist anymore. and wherever you go, you have to be careful that there isn't a fan spying on your or something."
"that must be hard."
"well..." lucas though for a while. "it's one of the downsides of being famous. but being famous is so cool that i don't really mind. wouldn't you like to be famous too?"
donghyuck didn't need to think about an answer. the response to this question was already clear on his mind, and it had always been.
"no, i'd rather stay anonymous." donghyuck replied.
