Ivy ended up working the counter while Steve and Robin reshelved movies.
"What are you doing?" Ivy asked when Robin ran back around the counter, holding a movie.
"We're watching Doctor Zhivago," Robin told her. "Julie Christie is b-b-bonkers hot in this. Like, seriously, the most beautiful creature I have seen in my life."
"Most beautiful?" Ivy raised her eyebrow.
"W-well, right after you, of course," Robin stammered.
"I'm joking, Rob, calm down," She laughed. Robin shook her head with a smile and turned on the tv.
"We're in Forest Hills trailer park in east Roane County," A reporter said over the tv. "We don't have a lot of details now, but we can confirm that the body of a Hawkins High student was discovered early this morning. Police have no released the name..."
"Holy shit," Steve muttered.
"That's the trailer park Max lives in," Ivy said, concerned.
"Hey Steve, Ivy," Dustin greeted as he and Max rushed into the store.
"Oh, my god, Max," Ivy breathed a sigh of relief and walked around the counter to hug you.
"I'm fine, Ivy," Max told her.
"How many phones do you have?" Dustin asked as Ivy and Max pulled apart.
"Someone was murdered," Steve said.
"How many phones do you have?"
"Two, why?"
"Technically three, if you count Keith's," Robin told him.
"Yeah, three works," Max said, exchanging looks with Dustin.
"What are you doing?" Ivy asked when Dustin threw his backpack over the counter.
"My pile!" Robin whined when his backpack knocked over the pile of tapes they had collected behind the counter.
"No, no, no! My tapes, dude!" Steve said as Dustin hopped over after the bag. "What are you doing, man?
"Setting up base of operations here," Dustin responded, logging onto the computer
"Base of operations?" Robin asked.
"Get off," Ivy told him.
"I need it."
"For what?"
"Eddie's friends' phone numbers."
"Your new best friend you think is cooler because he plays your nerdy game?" Steve asked.
"You reek of jealousy, Steve," Ivy teased.
"Yes," Dustin said, scarcastically. "I never said that."
"Seriously, you guys, maybe on a Monday you can play around, but it's a Saturday. It's our busiest day," Robin informed.
"Robin, I empathize, but this cannot wait," Dustin said.
"Calling Eddie's friends is an emergency?" Ivy asked, helping Robin.
"Correct."
"Want me to strangle him or do one of you two want to?" Steve asked.
"We could take turns," Robin suggested.
"Can you fill them in while I do this?" Dustin asked Max.
"Fill us in on what?"
Max sighed before starting to explain to the adults.
