Everyone screamed and they held on to whatever was around them as the room, that was now an elevator, dropped rapidly.

"We're going down! We're going down!" Steve screamed.

"Yeah, no shit, Harrington!" Robin screamed back.

"Why don't these buttons work?!" Dustin screamed, still trying the control panel. Everyone screamed at Dustin to press the button until finally they came to a crashing stop. Ivy grunted as she landed on top of Robin.

"Sorry," Ivy whispered before getting off and turning away from the girl to hide her rapidly growing blush.

"My groin," Steve groaned since a box landed on his junk. "It fell on my groin."

"Is everyone okay?" Robin asked after Dustin lifted the box off Steve.

"Yeah, I'm great, now that I know that Russians can't design elevators!" Steve screamed.

"I think we've established that those buttons don't work!" Ivy shouted at her brother as he tried to press them again.

"They're buttons. They have to do something."

"Yeah, if we had a keycard," Robin spoke up.

"A what?"

"It's an electronic lock. Same as the loading dock door. If we don't have a keycard, it won't operate, meaning--"

"We're stuck in here," Dustin finished.

"Just so you nerds are aware, I'm supposed to be spending the night at Tina's, and Tina always covers for me. But if I'm not home for Uncle Jacks party tomorrow and my mom finds out you four are responsible, she's gonna hunt you down, one by one, and slit your throat," Erica told them all.

"I don't care about Tina! Or Uncle Jacks party! Your mom's not gonna find us if we're dead in a Russian elevator!" Steve shouted at her.

"Hey. What if we climbed out?" Dustin asked, pointing towards the hatch on the ceiling.

Dustin and Steve got themselves through the hatch just to look up and see they were so far down there would be no way to succesfully climb out.

"What were you saying about climbing?" Steve sighed.

"This is a code red, I repeat, a code red," Dustin said into his radio, trying to reach the surface, as he paced on top of the elevator. "This is a code red, I repeat, a code red. Does anyone copy? We are innocent children and we are trapped under Starcourt Mall. The Red Army has infiltrated Hawkins, and if we are found, they will torture and kill us."

"Hey," Steve grunted as he lifted himself through the hatch. "Gotta take it easy on that thing. Gonna drain the battery."

"The mall just opened," Dustin told him.

"So?"

"So someone could be in range."

"What do you think, Petey the Mall Cop is gonna rappel down here and save the day?"

"All right, why are you such cranky pants after getting to spend the night with Robin?" Dustin asked.

"Shh! Jesus Christ," Steve shushed him. "Will you just give up on your creepy dream already?"

"I heard you guys talking all night."

"We were trying to figure out a way to open up the door while you children were sleeping. After eight hours, we're still exactly nowhere, which is, you know, probably just a little bit of the reason why I'm feeling just... a tad cranky."

"What are you doing?" Dustin asked as Steve walked to the edge of the elevator, his back turned as he unzipped his pants.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm taking a leak. Look away," Steve told him.
