The sun was shining brightly as normal, the sky was clear, nothing was wrong. He looked up at the sky and saw that there were no birds in the sky for some reason.
"Huh...I was expecting some birds today...that's weird...", he said as he fixed his crimson cape. "Are they still sleeping? No...Its the afternoon....is there some kind of storm coming soon, perhaps?"
He was trying to figure out why there were no birds in the sky, but came up with nothing. He brushed his hair out of his sight, so he can see more clearly. "I wonder where they went."
He fixed his green tunic and began to walk to the nearby town. It was such a pain to walk miles, just to get something to eat. When he got there, the bar, where he usually went to drink milk, was crowded. "Not again....why must it always be like this on a Saturday?", he said as he struggled to find a place in the bar to take a seat. He was so annoyed to learn that people did not want to lend a seat, even though they their by themselves. Why must they all be so rude?, he pondered. He then saw a young man sitting by himself, drinking a glass of milk.
"Um...May I take a seat?", He said as he tried not be awkward. "Um...sure! What harm can it do? Heheh...", the young man has said as he gestured him to sit. "Oh, thank you so much, good sir. The people here are not very open to strangers.", the man said as he sat in front of the young man. "If you do not mind me asking....Can I know your name?", the young man said while giving a friendly smile. "Original. You can call me Legend though", he replied back, giving a smile back. "What's your name?" "You can just call me Sky, Legend.", the young man said with a friendly tone.
"Well, Sky, your nicer than most of the people I have talked to today.", Legend said while ordering a drink. "But....aren't you too young to be in a bar like this?" He looked at Sky and gave a serious look. Sky just fixed his green hat, fixing his hair after, then gave a reply. "I know I am. I'm a year under the age which most people drink at. What harm can it do? Its just milk anyway.", Sky said, giving the same look back. "Oh, alright. I am sorry to you", Legend said with a nervous laugh. Huh....Sky is nicer than most people....Is he just being nice to be nice or is he just naturally like this?, Legend thought. Legend began to study Sky's appearance, trying not bring any attention to himself. Sky ended up noticing, but he didn't talk about it, thinking that it would be rude to do so. Legend stopped, because he noticed that Sky noticed also. "Oh...sorry about that, Sky! I didn't mean to be awkward or anything!", Legend said as he tried to drink the milk he ordered. "No, no! Do not apologize! Its alright.", Sky said as he did the same.
A few minutes after chatting, Legend got up, fixed his cape, and left the bar without telling Sky. Sky was in the bathroom, and he didn't want to be a bother to Sky more, so he left.
Sky came out of the bathroom and saw that he had left. "Oh...he left....", he mumbled under his breath. I wanted to learn more about him and talk to him more.....but it is too late now..., he thought as he too, exited the crowded bar. He noticed how late it had gotten, so he tried to rush home. It was as dark as a black hole, no sounds other than his own footsteps. He noticed that it take a very long time to walk the normal route home, or to just find a Bird Statue to get to Skyloft, so he went into a dark and damp alleyway. Hopefully....I won't be attacked like the people in the movies....the news said that there is a gang around these parts, but they haven't located where they are.....I really hope I don't die like that...I don't have any of my weapons, because I let them in my dorm.., he thought as he tried to get through the long, dark alley.
BLAM!!!!!!
There was a loud bang that came from behind Sky. Oh shit..., he thought as he turned around to see who was behind him. Gasp It was just Legend. "Sky....?", he said as he ran to Sky. "Are you alright? Its late, and the news about that gang....I saw you going down here, so I got worried." He was feeling Sky's body to see if there were any signs of injury. "I'm fine, Legend. I thought you were a member of that gang! You scared me..!", Sky said while breathing out a sigh. "Are you going home? I was on my way to Skyloft and-", Legend gave him a strange look, so he stopped talking. "Skyloft, eh?", Legend said.
"Yeah....I was just on my way there.", Sky laughed. "Hey, Sky....Do you mind if I come there with you? I got locked out of my house and I left the key in my bedroom, so-", Sky shushed Legend. "Of course, friend! Your welcome into my dorm anytime.", Sky said happily, smiling. "Thank you! I owe you, Sky.", Legend gave the smile back.
A few moments later, Sky had went into the Sky with Legend, called his crimson Loftwing, and flew to Skyloft to sleep. In the morning, Legend wasn't in Sky's room. "Huh..Did he go to the Goddess Statue? Or...", Sky mumbled groggily. He got up, got dressed, and ran to the Statue of the Goddess. Legend was in the room where Sky had met Fi.
"Legend?! What are you doing in here?!", Sky yelled while clutching his sword tightly. "Oh...just studying this scroll I found.", Legend said while reading an old and dusty scroll. "Eh? Read it aloud.", Sky said while trying to see what it said. "Sure", Legend said. "Youths, guided by fate....Find the other chosen youths, help them, fight with them, befriend them, remember them...", Legend read aloud. "That is as much as I can read. The rest is too smudged and the hand writing is bad. Sorry." "Its okay...Huh...We must be the two youths it is talking about, huh? We need to find the others too...whoever they are."
"Guess that means we're partners now, right Sky?", Legend said while giving a grin. "I guess so!", Sky said while grinning back.
