In a blink of an eye, three back monsters with long black arms were dragging them all through the portal. Time was chocking from the grip of the monster and the thick air to go along with it. Sky was just trying to get it away from him, but it's grip on his arm was too strong for him to pull off. One was grabbing Minish's hair and trying to claw at him, but of course, Minish was trying to stab it or something to try to kill it. "God....they're too strong for us!!! There are too many!", Minish yelled as he was trying to get it to let go of his hair. After minutes of struggling, they all just gave up. They all were feeling weak in the place they were in, the air and atmosphere was painful for some reason. Sky was losing his strength as he saw constant shadows in the air, where they mocking him? Time and Minish stopped fighting back, there was no point of fighting if they lose strength anyway. A miracle suddenly happened for the three of them, a golden light came from their hands. Three glinting Triforces had the air around them all easier to breathe, and the light made the monsters fall and shriek in pain. Minish was surprised at this, so were Sky and Time. "Whoa...", Minish said in amazement. "The Triforce saved us!", Sky yelled as the Triforce on his hand was glowing on his hand, giving off a small golden light removing the evil and thickness in the air around him. Time looked like he had seen all of this before, so he didn't seem to surprised at a lace like they were all in. "Yeah...The air got less thick and my strength is back too somehow...we should be safe for now.", Time said calmly as he looked around. Minish looked at his surroundings and at the black clouds that were glowing red and sighed. "The question for now is...Where is this and what happened? Why is everything clothed in a red-orange light and why is It so quiet?!", Minish said a little frantically, trying to stay clam like Time was. Time nodded as an agreement as he continued to look at the area around him. He sighed and said, "I think that I know where we are and what happened, but-" AHHHHHHHHGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
There was a scream in the distance. Sky, Time, and Minish turned their heads in the direction it came from, which was the west, and ran to where it came from. "Somebody else was dragged in here too?!", Minish said as he was running with Sky and Time. "From that scream, it seems like that they are in big trouble! We have to get there soon.", Sky responded as he ran. Time just nodded and kept running. As they ran, they're Triforces glowed to keep them safe from the thick air and monsters that would try multiple times to attack them and kill them. They observed the black squares and rectangles going towards the sky and wondered what had happened. Time sighed and looked around to see if where they were in was familiar. "I think we're in the Lanayru Province..", Time said while looking at a puddle of water. Sky nodded and looked around. "The scream came from somewhere near here. Let's look for some clues for who or what was here.", Sky said while looking around. "Hey!!! I found some tracks!!!", Minish yelled from the distance. Sky and Time ran to where Minish was standing and saw footprints and what looked like a markings in the dirt that looked like something was dragged away. They all ran down the path that the footprints were going down and stopped at a cave. They all ran into it and saw a figure chained to a wall. It was a dark green wolf that had a chain attached to one of his legs and he was trying to get the chain off. "We shouldn't get close to it...its a wild animal.", Time said as he kept distance. "WE shouldn't disturb it.", he continued as he pulled Sky and Minish away so they couldn't get too close. They nodded and hid behind some large rocks that hid them well enough so that the wolf couldn't see them. "Hey..look over there!", Minish whispered while pointing at a tiny figure near the wolf. The figure came out of a shadowy place and revealed her self to the wolf. "Who on Earth is she?", Sky said quietly.
It was an imp, she wore a helmet with one of her eyes covered, spiky orange and yellow hair, black half covering her, blue markings on her arms and legs, and a large red, orange, and yellow eye. She jumped to the wolf and revealed herself to it. "Hey...! Do you remember me?!", she said as she got closer to it. It moved it's head upwards to see her. The wolf sat down in a comfortable a=manner and his tail began to wag when he saw her. She smiled a toothy grin and giggled. "That's a good boy. Did you miss me?", She said as she stroked it's ear. "I missed you, Link." It wagged it's tail faster. "Link...?!", Sky said in amazement, trying not to be too loud. The girl smiled and giggled. "Hey, I'm not sure how this happened...but let me help you out of that chain.", she said as she made an orange ball in her hand and snapped the chain with it. The wolf walked in a circle and wagged it's tail in happiness that he was free from his chain. "Eee hee hee! That's a good human. Oops! Sorry! I forgot that you aren't a human anymore, Link.", she said with a taunting smile. "Don't you remember my name, Link? I can't tell what your trying to say. So..I'll tell you again!", she said while jumping on the wolf's back. "My name is Midna, remember?", she said while grinning. "Midna, eh?", Time said quietly. "Yeah! Now where the hell are we?!", Minish said LOUDLY. The wolf and Midna turned their attention to the rocks and walked their way to them, seeing that the three were eavesdropping. "Who are you three?! What are you doing here?! Why are you alive?!", Midna said with a scowl.
"Whoa there miss! We saw that the wolf you are on got dragged away so we followed the trail and ended up here. We were dragged in this place by some monsters and now we don't know how to get out. And, when we were thinking that we were going to die, the Triforces on our hands saved us by shining light on those monsters.", Sky explained slowly so Midna could understand. Midna nodded and sighed. "Dragged in by Shadow Beast it seems.", she said. "If you say so.", Minish said while shrugging. Minish sighed and pet the wolf. "Why are you so small?", Time asked as he observed her size. "That's none of your concern..."yet.", she grumbled. "Hey...is your name Midna?", Time asked as he observed the features of the wolf she was on. "Yeah.", she responded. "If I think that I'm right...are we in the twilight realm or something?", Time continued. Midna nodded and yawned. Sky was a bit confused and asked, "What exactly IS the 'twilight', Midna?" he shrugged and scratched the back of his head while asking it. Midna yawned and shrugged. "Okay. Since you don't know, let me try to explain it to you.", she said while putting herself in a comfortable position. "The twilight is like a dark shroud here, it covers everything in darkness. One can not simply leave the twilight, you need a Twili to guide you through the twilight. Like me!", she said and giggled. "The twilight here has taken the light away from the Light Spirit in this province..We have to get the light back and save the Light Spirit here.", Midna continued. "Wait...why do you want to help us?! Your a Twili, so you should be okay with twilight taking over. What's the deal?", Minish interrupted. Minish looked down, and shrugged. "I had my mind completely changed about light and twilight a LONG time ago.", said Midna to Minish. "If you say so..", Minish said. "Eee hee hee!", Midna giggled as she laid down on the wolf she was riding. "So....are we going to work together to help bring back the light?", she asked.
What a mysterious little imp this girl is....should we really have to trust her and let us fight with us?, thought Minish. He looked over at Sky, who shrugged, then at Time, who nodded. "Fine...But you pull anything, I'll make you pay.", Minish sighed. "I won't! I'll just try to help you. With the help of Link, you guys should be able to find the Light Spirit in no time.", Midna said while patting the wolf's head. "Link, eh? But..its a wolf.", Sky said in a confused manner. "Yeah...This is Link, but...him being exposed to the twilight makes him transform into a wolf until he is exposed to light again.", Midna explained. "I see...", Time said while observing the wolf. Midna giggled and said, "Well, now that that's is settled, shall we go?" "Uh...where to, Midna?", asked Minish. "I don't know...just follow paths until you find the Light Spirit or something.."", Midna said with a shrug. She pat the wolf on the head and it ran out of the cave. Sky, Minish, and Time followed her and the wolf a couple of seconds after they left. "Wait for us!", all three of them yelled as they ran after.
