Chapter Sixteen: Eye for an eye, right, Time?

The following day, all four of the heroes, including Arrow, had went back to the motel in Kakariko Village and rented the same room. Time was in a bed with a plaid design of red and blue on it. His hand was covering the eye that had been blinded, it was painful. Twilight strolled over to Time's bed and sat on the foot of it. "Time, does it hurt?", Twilight asked as he turned his head to face Time. Time nodded slowly, and let out a sigh, showing that it was stinging his nerves. Twilight the stood up, and walked over to Time, then sat down near him. "Is it okay if I see how bad it looks?", he asked as he put his hand over the hand that wasn't covering Time's right eye. "Yes..", Time said in a low voice, having a pained look in his eye. Twilight slowly moved Time's hand that was covering his eye and took a look at it. His eye had a cut on it that was slit across horizontally and was still bleeding a little. "Oh dear...I'm going to call a doctor to help stop the bleeding.", Twilight said with his hands on Time's. Time nodded, looking away from Twilight. "Just try to get some sleep before he or she gets here to check out your eye. I'll ask Sky or Arrow to call a doctor.", he finished as he walked out of the room to tell Arrow.

Minutes after Twilight told Arrow to contact the doctor, he showed up to check out Time's eye. "How long has it been bleeding?", the doctor asked as he wrote a few things down in a blue notebook. "I accidentally just poked it to make it bleed again a couple moments before you arrived, sir.", Time sighed. "How did you lose your vision in your right eye?", the doctor asked after Time answered the first question, "I was in a fight with somebody who tried to kill my friend, sir. I tried to block a knife and it ended up cutting the pupil, iris, and sclera of my eye....", Time responded in a soft and low voice. "I see. I'll get to work on your eye in a couple moments.", the doctor said as he wrote in his blue notebook and walked out of the room Time was in. After he stepped out, Twilight rushed in and sat next to Time. "You'll be okay...I hope. You can barely see, right?", he uttered as he looked into Time's injured eye. Time shrugged and put his hand on Twilight's head. "Twilight...I love how you care for me like that, but don't worry about me so much.", he said as he pat Twilight's head. "I'll be find...a little cut never hurt anyone that much.", he said with a smile as he took his hand away from Twilight. "Alright...I have to go talk to Sky now...he's outside doing something...I don't know what though. I guess Minish's death along with your injury probably shook him up.", he finished as he walked out of the room. Moments later, the doctor came back into the room with a couple instruments.

Arrow was sitting outside with Sky and Fi when Twilight came outside. Sky was slumped over with his head hanging low. "Whoa...Sky, are you okay?!", Twilight said as he ran to Sky's side. "I'm fine...", Sky sighed. "He's a little shaken up because of his friends that were named Legend and Minish's deaths and because Time is injured.", Arrow said while patting Sky's back. "Well, anybody would be sad cause of that!", Midna said as she crawled out of Twilight's shadow. "Whoa...cool shadow girl, but anyway....Cheer up, Sky...", Arrow sighed. "Excuse me?!", Midna growled. "Midna, ignore him.", Twilight sighed. Midna nodded and put her arm around Twilight's shoulder. "Sky, don't think about it, alright? You worry Time, Arrow, and I when you get sad.", Twilight said. Then Sky sat up strait and stood up, then walked back inside. "Sorry for worrying you guys...I'll try my best to stay happy.", he said as he was walking back inside. He walked into the room Time was in and saw the doctor speaking to Time. Time was wearing an eye patch and the doctor took a piece of paper out of his blue notebook and set it on the desk near the bed. Then, the doctor walked out of the room, and building. Time looked over to see Sky and motioned him to come closer, which Sky did instantly. "Sorry, Sky...My eye is permanently blind...he could have repaired it easily, but it seems like Dark put something on the blade to make me blind.", he sighed. "Oh...you can still fight, right?", Sky asked. Time nodded. "I can fight, but I can't see things to my right anymore", he said with a lying smile. Sky looked down and began to think about the things Time couldn't do anymore. Luckily, there were few things, so Time was kind of alright. "Just...tell Twilight that I'm okay, Sky.", he finished as he laid his head down and began to sleep.

A couple minutes later, Time woke up again to the creaking of the floor. He looked up and saw Sky standing over the foot of his bed. "I'm sorry for waking you, Time....I was just a bit worried about you!", Sky said nervously. "I'm sorry for worrying you, Sky...You understand why I'm half blind, correct?, Time sighed. "I do..Hey, Time...I'm sorry for not jumping in to protect you.", Sky replied. "It's alright, love. I forgive you."m Time responded back. "I'll have to wear an eye patch for now.", he finished. Arrow was standing outside of the door that led out of the room Time and Sky were talking in, listening in. This is my fault, isn't it?, thought Arrow. He looked back in the room and saw Fi floating in the air to the left of Sky. "Master, I detect that this sudden change has a 42% chance of being permanent.", she said. "Oh, Fi...Thanks for the information,,,that TOTALLY made me feel better.", Sky said in a classic sarcastic voice. "I apologize, Master. Pardon me for sounding like I do not care about your human emotions.", she replied. "It's alright, Fi...I understand.", Sky sighed. "At lease one of your eyes still works, right? Be happy about that.", they all heard a girl say in a cute and small voice. Time turned his head towards the top left corner of the room and say Midna floating in the dark corner. "Midna? Oh...yeah..I'm happy that my left eye is still good. Thanks for caring for me, Midna.", said Time. Midna smiled a toothy grin and crossed her arms, then said, "Don't mention it. MY Link told me what happened while I stayed in his shadow." Time smiled and said, "That's nice—oh, bye!", he got interrupted by Midna jumping back into the shadows. Sky smiled and said, "Well then...Time, get some sleep. Good night!", he said, leaving Time alone in the dark room. Time sighed and said, "You too..." "You should sleep now!", Navi said. Time then nodded and fell asleep.
