Watching a good amount of pack members work left and right setting up the meeting room with seats and refreshments I finally calmed down. Listening to Mason help and give orders, I took a broom and swept the stage my dad built in order to get people's attention. Sweeping all the trash that was left behind, I quickly got a dust pan and pick up the dirt throwing it in the trash. Once finished, I took refuge on the steps to the stage until the room started to fill up.
Once everyone was inside, both my parents came in and delivered the information. The meeting ended up being quick and simple with few complaints. We all had to follow these rules my dad made to keep everyone safe.
1. Don't go near the Nightshade after school grounds.
2. Don't talk to the Nightshade (unless needed)
3. Don't cause trouble with the Nightshade in any way.
4. And most importantly STAY AWAY from the Alpha.
5. Those who disobey will get their punishment decided by the Nightshade.Sensing the entire room stiffen and relax, the meeting ended and everyone continued to their regular duties. Both my parents and Mason spoke with the Beta, Third in command, Warriors, and Trackers a new way of protection I decided I had enough of this stuffy place left to the backyard.
"Scar, can we go for a run?" Eliza said, after stepping out into the night air.
"Technically we did when we came home."
"You know what I meant, I'm still edgy from your dad's news. I want to run for a bit to completely relax, please?" Eliza begged, laughing at my mental joke that dogs only beg I pushed it aside and agreed a good run is very much needed.
"Alright, but just for a little while. It's already strong dark and I like to be home before I have to sleep."
Taking of my shoes, I shifted not needing to worry about clothes. Feeling the fur grow, my eyes enhance and ears listen, I inhaled deeply of my surroundings as I was now on the ground standing on four legs. Stretching out a bit, I pushed the heels of my paws and ran. Not going out the border I went twice around my house until I started to grow tired and sweaty.
Breathing quickly in and out, I tried to catch my breath. Laying on my side, I could clearly see the night sky and the various amount of starts shinning brightly. Finding myself relaxed I didn't realize I wasn't alone until I yawned and heard a twig snap.
Not wasting time, I spun and landed back on my feet. Growling threateningly, I remained still with my eyes closed listening for any sudden movements.
Trying to listen and slow my rapid beating heart from nerves, Eliza mind linked me.
"Scarlett someone is here in our territory and no one has noticed."
Noting the anger and slight fear from the truth of her words, I growled once more.
"I know, but if I mind link Mason I-"
Unable to finish my sentence, a strong aroma entered my nose. Remembering this scent, my strict and alert posture turned to a more slightly relaxed one. Not needing to tell Eliza who it was, she silently got quieter and shy as our Mate emerged from the thick bushes in front of me.
Feeling caught of guard and flabbergasted I couldn't think of anything to say. Not that I could being that we were both in our wolf forms. As I watched him take a few steps in front of me, Eliza began to stir in my mind. Seeing her run in circles in anticipation of what he'll do, I couldn't tell her to stop from the enticing scent he held. Speaking for the both of us, we both said the same thing as he pushed me down laying on my legs.
"Mate."
