Closing my eyes, I slouched more in my chair and let the summer air hit my face.

With my eyes closed, I felt the car come to a stop and Mase pulling the window up I opened my eyes seeing "Welcome back to Wilshire High everyone!" banner over the school entrance doors and already dreading to go inside.

"Mase, do I have to go?" I whined not wanting to open the door as my uneasiness still lingered.

"Yes, now hurry up. Before Jane starts bothering me with 'Mason where's Scar?! Oh my god, have you seen the new man candy?' And who knows what else! Honestly, you guys are inseparable I'm surprised she didn't wait for you. And at least Kyle is your only decent friend." He said getting out his car. Doing the same he then locked the doors.

"It's scary how you almost sound like her. Anyways she would've but new school year means new students. And you know how she is, obviously wants to be the first to see what's new and then tell me about it and who she has a new crush on hoping it's her mate. And Kyle is weird too, you just say that because he isn't boy crazy and hyper like Janie" I said knowing Jane or as I like to call her sometimes Janie, talks none stop how finding her mate this and that. It's cute at times but also can be annoying. But I love her and knowing her since we were kids is the only one who and amongst a few others like Kyle that can make fun of me with little broken bones and since she's the betas daughter and her brother Derrick is my brothers beta, it's pretty much been friends before we knew it.

But Janie being my girl best friend, she also knows how to pack a punch and I feel sorry for anyone who double crosses her and makes me happy knowing she isn't those type of girls who expect her hero to come rescue her. No, she's also a fighter like me which gets us a lot of guys attention due to our tone out bodies and firmed assents.

Now Kyle, he, Janie and I been friends a couple years after Janie and I, probably around 5th grade (at the time where before I didn't skip a grade) and after beating up a bully of a classmate and seeing the whole thing with Janie, we became friends due to his heroic-ness. And ever since then it's been the three of us. Kyle although is the complete opposite of Janie and I. He's polite, quiet, obedient, and very on top of things but knows when to have fun and let loose which I prefer but he balances Jane's hyperness and my rebelness so it's a good blend. And neither he has found his mate which also upsets him. As he's the third in commands son.

Getting out the parking lot, immediately people from our pack nodded at us while some bowed.

Even though this school is populated with humans we wolves have also populated it and since our Alpha-ness usually only affect wolves, it still rubs of on humans making my brother and I along with our friends into the 'Popular' category. And as much as I hate titles, I don't care. As long no one messes with me and I'm respected as they would like to be respected, then you and I will be okay. But unlike me, my brother uses it to his advantage but in a good way which I respect him for. At school he's the head of the student body council which means he's the Class President of the Seniors. And the reason he got this was because,

One: he's a straight A student.

Two: he's responsible and the schools golden student.

Three: Gets respected and shows great leadership to other students.

And Fourth: His good looks let's him easily sly by. And because of this, Girls practically throw themselves at him but being the gentlemen he is deep down, and pretty much a great man and brother, is waiting patiently for his mate.

Mates, the one person who is most best compatible with you. Who will love you no matter what and would want nothing but to keep you safe from harms way is your other half. Your soulmate who your destined to be with forever but once you turn 16 it's foretold you'll be able to know who that is, by their scent but seeing as I'm 17 I kinda gave up on that.
