Cinderkit slowly opened her eyes, she felt so exhausted after her uncomfortable sleep, but she'd still hold up her body, standing up, she felt as if she was covered in a bunch of thorns, she turned her head and glanced at Hollykit's nest, it was empty, she flattened her ears as she realized that today was her apprentice ceremony, she launched herself out of the nursery and quickly rushed in front of the highrock, she scanned around the camp and she spotted Hollykit who was next to her, "Cinderkit! you're here!" Hollykit uttered, Cinderkit jumped, and Hollykit cackled "Sorry if I scared you."
Cinderkit chuckled awkwardly, she then felt some large fur behind her, she turned around to see who it was, she saw a large, light gray cat, then she realized that it was her foster mother, Brighteye, who licked Cinderkit's forehead "we can groom ourselves, Brighteye." Hollykit said in an annoyed tone, "You probably won't." Brighteye hissed, Hollykit hissed back while Cinderkit flattened her ears, worried that both of them would cause a scene, when Brighteye finished grooming Cinderkit, she pads to Hollykit and she licked Hollykits torso, Hollykit groaned in annoyance, Cinderkit looked around the clearing and spotted Mousewhisker grooming Rosepaw, "Done." Brighteye moved her head away from Hollykit, Hollykit glared at Brighteye and Brighteye glared back, Cinderkit watched the FogClan high-rock, waiting for Mossstar to come out, Mossstar padded out of his den, and watched all of his clanmates, he then called out, "all cats get away from the fog, gather around the high-rock for a clan meeting."
Birdpaw and Fuzzypaw just got back from the hunting patrol, they were quickly putting their prey on the fresh-kill pile, and both of them rushed in front of the high-rock, while the rest of the camp padded in front of the high-rock, Cinderkit sweated as she felt different pelts of cats next to her, she felt like running away from the crowd and hide in the nursery, she turned her gaze to a cat next to her, it was Birdpaw! she sighed in relief that her friend was here with her.
her older sister, Goldenfeather, leaped to the high-rock, and trotted next to Mossstar and she sat down next to her leader, "I hope my mentor is Goldenfeather." Hollykit whispered to Cinderkit, "she is the deputy, you know."
Cinderkit nodded, and glanced at the leader, "as some of you know, two kits have reached the age of six moons and are ready to be apprenticed." Mossstar announced, "Hollykit, you have reached the age of six moons, it is time for you to be apprenticed, from now on, until you receive your warrior name, you'll be known as Hollypaw, your mentor will be Milkstem, I hope he passes all his knowledge on to you.", Hollypaw was thrilled, she couldn't help but bounce up and down. "Milkstem, you have received excellent training from Alderstem, you have shown yourself to be strong and independent, you'll be the mentor of Hollykit, and I expect you to pass all you know on to her." Mossstar turned his gaze to Milkstem, Milkstem smiled at Mossstar, and padded to his new apprentice, he ducked his head down and he touched noses with Hollypaw, "Hollypaw! Hollypaw!" everyone cheered, Cinderkit smiled at her sister, but then turned her gaze to Mossstar.
"Cinderkit, you have reached the age of six moons, it is time for you to be apprentice, from now on until you receive your warrior name, you'll be known as Cinderpaw, your mentor will be Amberbreeze, I hope he passes all of his knowledge on to you.", "Amberbreeze, you have received excellent training from Rainfall, you have shown yourself to be smart and loyal, you are the mentor of Cinderpaw, I expect you to pass all your knowledge on to her.", Amberbreeze padded to his new apprentice, Cinderpaw sweated as she saw the large, ginger tom, but she touched noses with him anyway, "Cinderpaw! Cinderpaw!" the crowd cheered, Cinderpaw ducked her head down in embarrassment, she just wanted this to end as quickly as possible, as the chanting faded, she sighed in relief.
"Meeting dismissed." Mossstar ambled back to his den, some cats walked back to where they were, Leafstripe and Fogpaw got back to the medicine den, and Birdpaw trotted to the two apprentices, "Congrats!" Birdpaw told the two, "uh- th-thanks!" Cinderpaw replied, stuttering, "well, you were kind of lucky getting Amberbreeze as your mentor!" Hollypaw exclaimed, Cinderpaw flattened her ears, "he is kind of scary.." Cinderpaw muttered, "Once you get to know him he won't be as scary as you thought he would be." Birdpaw giggled, Hollypaw stared at her mentor in excitement, "I hope we can learn about fighting first!" she said briskly, bouncing up and down, "They usually give you the tour of the territory first." Birdpaw added, Hollypaw groaned in annoyance "that's no fun!", Cinderpaw giggled, and glanced at the medicine den, weirdly feeling a bit suspicious, 'Something feels weird..' she thought as she stared at the den feeling weirdly uneasy, what was going on?
