Rhonda woke with a start, as something cold and icy hit her face like a snowball. She quickly opened her eyes and looked at her chest.
A piece of snow had fallen on her. And she quickly looked to see where it came from.
Rhonda's eyes began to bulge with fright and a scream was released from her lungs at last.
The snowman was in the room!! And she saw it had huge terribly long arms and the fingers were so long and pointy, she thought they were icicles. In fact, they were icicles! The hands were right near her face as those terrible eyes, she now clearly saw they were eyes in black sockets, were staring horribly at her.
Rhonda's scream woke up Pam with a start and when she looked, she screamed too. But thankfully, Pam was a bit more quick to act than to scream. She grabbed the blanket and threw it over the creature. She grabbed her beautiful wife, and Rhonda and she ran like lightning down the stairs, grabbed their phones and the keys from the kitchen, and dashed out of the house and made for the car.
They sped at high speeds far away from the house towards town
....
The next day, they called the police and told what had happened. They searched around and didn't find any man or, a snow man for that matter. But, after what Rhonda had explained to them from her dream and gut feeling of foul play had happened, they tore up the planks in the closet room, with the permission of Ms. Julie of course, who came back early when the police had been notified.
Upon removing the planks in the closet, they found the bodies. The now skeletal remains of was later discovered to be Ms. Julie's late daughter in law, and the bloated remains of the poor red haired girl. After some speculation and theories, it was obvious that Ms. Julie's son had murdered his wife probably over an argument, and having found out he had committed suicide in the fields across from the house.
How the red haired girl came there, the police don't know. But after what Rhonda had told them, they decided to not let the actual truth get out. Just have it be another victim of the son when he was alive. Rather than a victim that had been taken by supernatural forces.
As for that Christmas Eve, though the morning had been awful, Ms. Julie let the poor girls stay with her for that Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas morning at her generous relatives place, as the three all agreed they did not wanna spend another night in that haunted house.
Once the mystery had been cleared up however, whatever what was haunting the house had gone away. Ms. Julie eventually sold the house and moved in with her grandchildren.
As for Rhonda and Pam. They made it home safely to Florida. But Rhonda definitely had a new aspect of life till the day she died of a crisp old age with her Pam. And she remained ever grateful for those so called nightmares, which she believed after that incident, to be warnings from the grave to help save herself and Pam. Had they not listened, they too would've ended up just like the poor girl and the wife of that house.
They would have simply...disappeared...
