(AN - Again, sorry about how short it is, I just needed to push something out. I'll do my best to get a decently long one up soon. And I should probably mention spoilers for Genshin lore. By the time you read this, it'll be added to the description. Regardless of my smooth brain, I'm glad people are actually seeing this - I'm proud as hell.)

Gorou's POV

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Everything was on fire. Not literally, but my entire body was in pain and my Vision wouldn't cool off. Sitting up took most of my energy, but I looked around to find myself alone on a medic cot. Well, not alone, but the wrong people. He wasn't there - he had been there cause his scent was strong - but I couldn't see him anywhere.
     "Oh Archons, you're awake! Her Excellency is sending a boat -"
     "Where is he?"
     "...I don't quite understand."
     "Itto. Where'd he go?"
     "...Who?"
     "The oni! Come on Ikari, just tell me - I know you're lying!"
     "I... The boys from Octopod II took him to a holding cell. He went completely berserk and they didn't want to risk triggering him while you were unconscious."
     "...Take me to him."
     "What?! Gorou, he killed at least twenty people in one go and immediately hunted you down! What if he can't control that extra strong part of himself and goes mental on you?!"
     "Take me to him - that's an order." I could see the struggle in his eyes as I stumbled down, barely catching myself. "Now Ikari. I mean it."
     "...I'm bringing you back right afterwards."
     "Whatever, fine." He helped me along to the underground jail - I immediately darted forward as my Vision slowly cooled off. He was entirely shifted into the scary "big teeth, long ears, black eyes" form, growling under his breath as he paced.
     "General Gorou! You'll never -" They all jumped back as he smashed into the bars, sticking a hand through - the desperation in his eyes made me feel sick, though it dissipated as I gripped his hand.
     "Please let me out. I don't know why I'm here."
     "You're a whole new thing! You clearly can't control it!" Agreement slipped through the group of guards, though I was focused on not wagging at the relief in his eyes.
     "Let him out."
     "But -"
     "Now." She did it with an obvious frown, but I didn't get the chance to snap before he picked me up under my arms and held me close - his breath on my neck was far too comforting to be a normal amount of attraction. The group looked completely lost.
     "Never do that again."
     "What, defend the camp?"
     "Pass out from blood loss! Don't play dumb Puppy."
     "Hey -"
     "He's fine. Also - stop calling me that in front of people."
     "I'll stop when you stop getting hurt! And tell your buddies to stop glaring at me...!"
