─── ⋅ ∙ ∘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ∘ ⋅ ⋅ ───Mum had left for her night shift, leaving Hayley and me. "So what did you do to Isaac for him to give you the cold shoulder?" Hayley questioned shoving her mouth full of ice cream. I dropped my spoon back into the bowl, reminiscing the times I spent with Isaac over the summer break. "I let him down," I said out loud for the first time. I looked up, refusing to meet Hayley's eyes.
"I don't know what to do now. He hates me, Scott hates me, and the Hale's I think are close to hating me too." As my own words sunk in, I wished I never came back to Beacon Hills... It was a mistake. I felt Hayley's hand wrap around mine, "I don't hate you." She countered shrugging her shoulders. I gave her a small smile, but my phone interrupted this wholesome moment. "It's Scott," I murmured thinking if I should let it ring out.
"Hello?" I decided against that idea.
"Colette, the plan backfired. They are on the loose, we need help finding them." Scott explained in a rush. This was my redemption, save Erica and Boyd and they won't ask anymore questions.
"Alright no problem." I replied hanging up the phone. I encased my phone into my back pocket before hurrying to the door.
"What's wrong?" Hayley asked following me to the door.
"Scott needs my help, I have a chance of fixing things." I clarified a smile beaming on my face.
"Alright let me get my jacket real quick." Hayley uttered returning to the kitchen.
"No," I sternly called out. Hayley turned back looking at me confused.
"Hayl's you can't come. Once you step into this world there's no going back." I explained holding onto Hayley's shoulders.
"No exceptions, stay here." I instructed, closing the door behind me.I ran towards the reserve, metamorphosing into my wolf form, a creature so pale, with the bare moonlight reflecting off me, leaving me in an angelic glow. When I'm in this state, my senses are even more heightened, and my reflexes even faster. I breathed in the crisp night air, familiarising myself with the scents. Freezing in what I believe to be the middle of the preserve, I perched up my ears, analysing the sounds trapped in between the deep trees. A low growl emerged, maybe a couple meters away. There were two people, and I'm betting one was either Boyd or Erica.
I leaped through the shrubs, off a small hill. One of the two beings got thrown against a tree nearby. I shifted back into my human form, teeth baring, eyes glowing and clothes with massive rips. I faced a girl, who was transformed, crouching, with her claws out. She leaned forward swiping at me. "Move to your left!" A familiar voice called out, I obeyed and stepped aside. Isaac stepped into the moonlight, eyes a bright gold, as he attacked the brunette. I reappeared behind Erica, and we took turns defending ourselves against her as we cornered her in between us. "Colette look out!" My eyes shifted to Isaac, as he looked at me stressed. A sharp pain emerged from my shoulders, as I felt myself lift up from the ground. I winced as my back hit a stone wall. I fell limp, as every bone in my body felt broken. I let out a small gasp, as the pain took me by surprise. Derek and Scott, came out from the shadows, continuing to fight against the werewolf. "Colette!" I could hear the worry in Isaac's voice. I balled my hands into a fist as I refused to look weak, I pulled myself up, disregarding Isaac's stretched out hand. "I'm fine." I said in a stern voice, as I looked away from him. The tears from the unbearable pain pooling out of my eyes. She ended up running away, and as we chased after her we all began to realise that we weren't fast enough."Someone's dead." Scott announced, as he ended the phone call with Stiles. He turned back to us.
"An innocent kid died and it's our fault." Scott muttered with regret.
"My fault." I corrected, looking at Scott with saddened eyes.
"It's my fault that Boyd and Erica are out killing innocent people." The three of them turned to me.
"Erica?" Scott questioned. I raised an eyebrow. Exchanging glances between each of them.
"Colette, Erica's dead." My throat went dry at Isaac's words, I felt my head spin and regret stabbing me in the stomach.
I faced Isaac, who's face described the amount of hatred, resentment and disgust he held towards me. "Then who was that?" I questioned blankly.
"Cora. My sister." My head spun towards Derek. Sister? My mouth hung open, as I processed what they had told me.
"We need help." Scott spoke up.
"Who?" Derek questioned. As if I understood what my brother was thinking I continued, "Someone who knows how to hunt werewolves." I finished.
