Angel
Me watching as my little man walk into his classroom I almost teared up, it's so hard to see him go. Even though he's my little brother I see him as my son because I'm raising him. He just growing up so fast. Now I don't want Nevaeh going to school, but I know she's going to sooner or later.
You shouldve saw how he ran back to us and kissed us saying that he love us. I wish my mom was alive to see him growing up, but I know she is in a different way. Darius dropped nevaeh off and dropped me off. Yes he drops and picks me up from work. I actually like that. What girl wouldn't?
I'm sitting at my desk typing up some papers and I got a puzz from my pager they give us informing that we have our next person. I looked at it and it said room 9. I saved my papers and went to room 9 with the stuff I need. I walked in and seeing someone I haven't seen a long time........Anthony. Wtf he doing here? He to old to be here. Ima just act normal and don't start anything.
"Hi I'm Dr. Carter, so what seems to be the problem with baby Caroline" I asked looking at Anthony and who I think Tamia
"She was running a really bad fever and she wasn't being herself and I didn't know what was wrong with her" Tamia said with an attitude
Now if I wasn't at work and she gave me that attitude then I would've set her stuck up ass straight, but because I'm at work and my boss is outside that door I'm just going to keep my mouth shut and do my job.
"Well let's check her out" I said
I did everything I was supposed to do and found out what was wrong. She just had a common cold and wrote down medicine that they should give her. Tamia took the paper from me and walked out as Anthony put Caroline in her car seat.
I was just typing on the computer and I felt eyes on me. I looked and saw it was Anthony.
"Take a picture it will last longer" I said to him typing
"Angel, how you been" he asked
"Good" I said nonchalant
"How's Travis doing" he asked
"Great, but can you leave because I have to be with someone else now" I said opening the door
He sighed and carried Caroline out and meet with Tamia who was paying the bill. I just went to the bathroom and stared up at the ceiling. I haven't seen him since Travis was a baby and now he has a 2 month old baby girl who is just beautiful.
You know how in the movies the girl or the boy runs out and get that true love that they haven't seen in years, but this is not a movie. I have a beautiful family at home and a man who loves me like no other. And my kids....my kids. The thing about Anthony is that me and him are around the same age and he acts like a boy when I need a man. And MY man is Darius. That's my baby I love him with everything I have in me. Lord knows I do. Life is funny. I came from nothing to something with more to it. I love the life god has given to me.
"Hi I'm Dr. Carter and I wanna know why a beautiful girl like you doing in my office" I asked walking into my next patients room
