Yasmine
As we pulled into the parking lot, we could see the big 'Grand Opening Coming Soon' banner flowing in front of the building. I whistled softly as we parked and climbed out of the car, looking up to see how big the building was. "This is the job we're gonna get?" I asked while Macy got out and stood beside me, followed by Tahny and Olivia. "Yup, our stations will be on the second floor though. The first is just the lobby and the third is the spa section." Macy talked casually as if a three story nail salon/spa was normal. Olivia looked over at me with the same amount of shock on her face about the details of the building. "Alright let's get this over with, we are 10 minutes early so that makes us look good. Everybody got their resumes?" Tahny asked while tapping her foot against the concrete, a sign she's just as nervous as us. "Yup, let's do this." We all walk toward the entrance, a slow motion version of us popping into my head like we're heading into the most important meeting of our life, which we kinda are. Olivia opens the door for everybody before walking in behind us. If we thought the outside looked good, the inside looked great and was way better than any hotel I've ever been to. I looked up at the designed ceiling, the big chandelier, the cream colored walls and dark wood table and front desk. "May I help you?"
We all stopped and looked at the short Hispanic lady at the front desk who looked younger than all of us. Everyone stood there silently until Macy cleared her throat and started speaking. "We're looking for Mrs. Kimmy, we have a interview with her at 12:15." The lady nodded before looking at her computer, typing something before looking back up at us with a smile. "Perfect, take the elevator up to the fourth floor and her office will be the last door on your right. Make sure to knock before you go in just in case she is on the phone please." Macy thanked her before taking the lead to the elevator, pushing the button and looking back at us with expecting eyes. "I swear if yall are this quiet during the interview then I'm killing yall on this woman's desk and getting this job by myself." The elevator dung and we went inside, Olivia snorting out a laugh as the doors closed. "Get yo woman Yas." I only chuckle and we take the rest of the elevator ride in silence.
Tahny
All the walls towards the boss's office are the same cream color as the one's on the first floor. There are about four doors on either side of us with big black letters on who they belong to. "She said the right?" Macy asked as she scanned the doors and the names. "Yeah, right here." I said while pointing to the big letters that said Mrs. Kimmy. We all stopped in front of it turning to look at each other. "Alright, gimme ya hands." Everyone put down their stuff and we held hands in a circle as Olivia started with a prayer. "Dear Lord, Heavenly Father we just wanna thank you for giving us this opportunity and lining up our blessings perfectly to bounce back like we did. You've seen what we've been going through so just help us climb out of this hole and get our lives back on track. Dear God help us get this job and receive our dream shop in the future with what this one provides for us. Keep us safe on our journey back and keep us from hurt, harm and danger, Amen."
We all repeated 'Amen', letting go of our hands and grabbing our things again. We all gave a deep breathe before I knocked on the door, hard enough to let her know but not obnoxious. "Give me just a minute." Yasmine looked shocked beside me, a clear form of confusion on her face. "What is up with you?" I said between small laughs. "She sounds so country. I expected a British accent from someone who runs a place like this." I rolled my eyes just as the door opened and Yasmine's words about her being country came out to be true. "Come in, come in I don't bite."
The walls were a dark brown color with what was supposed to worn out effect on it. She had longhorn skeleton's hanging from her walls and cow print couch covers that just looked too real to be fake. I looked around in awe because as a country girl at heart, this is dream room. Just add a bed with camo bedframe and I'd never leave that hoe. I guess Mrs. Kimmy saw how I was looking and she stepped closer beside me. "It's great isn't it? Took me months to come up with this design." I nod softly, looking at the tall woman. "It's really great, I wish I had freedom to decorate my bedroom like this as a kid." She laughed softly, sticking out her hand to me. "I'm Mrs. Kimmy." I stuck out my hand and shook hers. "I'm Tahny, we spoke on the phone about all of us being available for this interview. Thank you for that again." Mrs. Kimmy waved her hand as if it was nothing but it was a huge deal. "It's perfectly fine babe, and I'm glad I get to meet yall. Now where's Macy?" Macy rose her hand a bit, smiling when the woman turned to her. They gave each other a handshake as well as they introduced and greeted each other. "Who are these other two beautiful ladies?"
