Everybody stood by the back door, their back to the brick wall as we waited for the girls to walk out. We held our guns in front of us and looked up when Viry walked out. "Star told me not to wait for her. I don't know where she is and-"
I cut her off. "Get in the van, now." She did as told with her head down, clear trail of tears down her cheeks. I walk in first, with the rest of crew behind me as we looked around to make sure the coast was clear.
"Rodney group with me. If you with Dell, go down the right hall. The rest of yall go down the left one." Everybody split up, leaving me and five others going down the main hallway. From a distance we heard yelling and cheers so we went there first. Rodney kicked open the door before we all went in, shooting anybody we saw moving.
"Fuck! He ain't in here, keep moving!" I shouted over the gunshots before we all left the room and went upstairs. On the way there we heard more gunshots, making me groan softly. "I swear if they end up shooting my girl.." Rodney nudged my shoulder causing me to look back down the stairs and see X passing by. I started walking down, making sure to stay quiet.
"So this what we doing Star? This how yo bitch ass gon do me?!" I heard Star yell in pain and I gripped my gun tighter, leaning to see he grabbed her by her hair. Tahny stood beside her, looking back and forth between Star and X. Her eyes seemed sunk into her skin and her wrist and elbows looked like nobs. She was a skeleton with skin on and it made me sick.
I looked back to Rodney and told him how they were positioned, telling him to get a way behind X. Next I heard Tahny's scream which made me spring into action, rounding the corner quick to see Star and Tahny both unconscious on the ground. X stood over her and had a smirk on his face as he turned around to look at me. "Well look who it is, I knew you wouldn't let this hoe sit and rot forever."
I rolled my eyes and stepped closer to him, leaving my finger on the trigger of my gun just in case he popped off first. "Now you know better than that don't you. Why not just give me Tahny? That way yo bitch ass blood don't gotta be everywhere."
A loud laugh came from X as he kicked the limp body of Star. "Shut the fuck up, and how about the girl here? Ain't think you would have some people spying on me like that, I guess I gotta step my game up." behind X I could see Dell group coming around the corner, sneaking up on him.
"You know that's what I do, you just ain't smart enough to catch on to some like that." I said and lifted my gun, pointing it X, just then I felt the end of a gun put to the back of my head. "Now now now, you wouldn't want to do something like that now would you? You know I can kill this bitch if you even think about pulling that trigger."
"Dell hurry the fuck up!" I yelled before shots started going off in front and behind me. I ran forward, tackling down X and got up, stomping down on his stomach. "What now nigga? Huh, what big shit you talking now?" I grabbed the neck of his shirt and threw punches to his jaw, taking out my frustration on the dude under me. I huffed as I stopped when seeing he wasn't awake anymore. I went to Tahny next, picking her up smoothly and holding her close to my chest. "CJ get Star! Everybody head out, we done with this shit!"
Tahny
When I woke up I was in a hospital, the bright lights hurt my eyes, instantly making me close them. I groaned and tried to sit up, only to have a hand stop me. "Hey, lay down boo, you gon hurt yourself." I looked over to see Olivia, a big smile on her face. I tried to smile back but winced when a stinging pain formed on the side of my cheek. "I guess that answers my how you feeling question." I hummed the best I could as a response, closing my eyes again for a few seconds before looking up at my bestfriend. "Where...Where's Jay?" I croaked and the look on Olivia face made me nervous.
Was he hurt? Did he get shot done by X? Where the fuck is he?!
"I ain't seen Jay ever since he dropped you off here. You been in a coma for 7 months Tahny. The doctor said since your body was so weak it couldn't handle staying awake so it went out on you. You were dead for like 30 minutes." I listened with tears in my eyes. I couldn't think straight and my head was pounding harder than it ever has. I reached up and tried to grab her hand, which she instantly took. "I-I'm sorry.."
Olivia laughed a bit. "Bitch what you saying sorry for, it's not like you could help it." I squeezed her hand a bit before closing my eyes again, soon falling back asleep.
The next time I woke up I heard Olivia talking to a doctor. "With the damage done to her hips and spine there's a chance she won't be able to walk again. If we don't do surgery in the next 4 days then her lungs will give out on her and Ms. Tahny will die. The money left for her from Mr. Jalen is only enough to pay for the surgery and not the medicine. Without the medication then the surgery is useless."
Olivia started crying, her sobs filling the quiet room. "H-how much is the medication all t-together?" I heard the flipping of paper before the doctor spoke again.
"All of the pills are $112.46 with $30 refills for all of them. Adding the physical therapy will add an extra $60 a session and she will need to do that for a year in total, 3 sessions a week." It got quiet again before the door of the room opened. I opened my eyes to see Olivia starring at the door, her shoulders shaking as she cried.
"Olivia?" She looked back, wiping her tears with the back of her hand. "Hey girl, how you feeling?" I shrug a bit, stifling a yawn. "Better." I simply say and she nods, sitting down beside me and holding onto my hand. I tug her closer to me, kissing her knuckles. "You don't.." I paused to catch my breathe, god talking takes a lot of air. "Have to pay." Olivia shot her eyes to me, glaring at me. "Shut up, I didn't ask for your input on what's gonna happen with this. You just relax and focus on healing yourself. I'll handle everything, I just need you to sleep."
I teared up and sighed. "Use the money... from the shop. It will w-work." Olivia sighed and nodded, kissing my hand. "Alright, I'll do it only because I know it's a lot."
Olivia
"I need a favor from you." My step-father lifted his head to look at me, narrowing his eyes. "It's weird for you to ask for favors. What's up princesa?" I lean my elbow on the cafe's table, holding back my tears. "Tahny had something happen to her, something really bad and it's gonna cost thousands for her surgery, medications and physical therapy. I was hoping you could pay for most of it. The money we have for the shop is a lot but I only want to use a thousand to cover the therapy."
A sigh let Alejandro's lips, making me bite my lip nervously. "I know, I know, it's a lot but I can't let her die like this. Please Alejandro, I'll never ask for anything else." He took off his golden rimmed sunglasses, looking at me harder. "I'll give you the money princesa but don't tell your mother. If you do she'll never forgive me for this." I smile and nod, happily getting up and hugging the man tightly. "Thank you! Thank you so so much papa!" I kiss his temple before sitting back down in my seat.
"I want you to know that your making my workers work 5 times as hard for this." I chuckle softly and roll my eyes, taking a sip of my chocolate frappe. "They'll be okay, they like their job anyway." Honestly, Alejandro is like El Chapo when it comes to running his 'empire'. He ran a huge trafficking business which my mom kind of works for while still being married to the man. At first I was against the relationship and my mom hated me for that so she "cut me off" but from time to time I'll meet up with the actual owner of the money.

"So what are you gonna do? Just leave her without a goodbye? Nigga you got her in that situation, made her deal with it for nearly three months and then leave when she's in recovery. You a hoe ass bitch for that." Jalen sighed and leaned his head back against our couch, biting his lip. "I know but if I stay with her then this shit just gonna happen again. I don't want her in danger like that , I love her too much." I laughed and hit the blunt again.
"So you admit it, I'm glad you came to terms wit yourself." Jalen rolled his eyes again and sighed before taking the blunt from me. Soon after Collins came running around the corner of our apartment, jumping into my lap happily. "Bubu! Can I watch a movie in your room?" His lips formed a cute pout and I chuckled, nodding as he smiled in victory. "Thank you!" He left the room again and Jalen smiled at me. "Plus, I get to see that smile everyday, I wouldn't want life any other way."
