WRATHS POV

Stupid Pride. She DOES realize that I don't like to be touched right?! Actually... knowing her she probably just doesn't care....

Wrath sighs as she looks down at the men that lay at her feet. Red energy streaming from their bodies as life slowly blinked out of their eyes. A new strength filled Wrath, who grinned down at the bodies in contempt.

Seriously though, why the hell do I have to deal with her craziness all the time?! How on earth the others have PATIENTS with that I have no idea.

She turned to go, mumbling to herself how idiotic the other sins were until she tripped over something. Slowly she looked down at the ground, seeing two giant eyes gazing up at her own. Wrath felt her heart pound as she gets closer to the child. It seemed to be a teenage girl, she was covered in blood and tears glistened in her eyes though they didn't fall.

Just my luck... well I can't have any loose ends soooo. Wrath raised her hand trying to draw out the energy from her like all the others.

Nothing happened making Wrath's eyes snap open to stare at the girl.

How does a HUMAN not have any anger or wrath inside of her?!  Especially after what she just witnessed, I was sure I would have at least found RESENTMENT..

"Human. May I ask what you are doing here?"

The girl shakily stood up on her legs, she looked ready to fall over at any minute. Then she held out her hand in greeting making Wrath raise an eyebrow incredulously.

"My name is Hayla. Nice to meet you....?" She completely ignored the question as if she was trying to avoid the topic. Interesting....

Wrath noticed that she still had her hand out and once again had to hold back a chuckle, "Just call me Wrath kid."

She had refused to share her name to many people, she never trusted easily and a name can be a powerful thing if used against someone.

"OK Mrs. Wrath!"

She is WAY too happy to be in a situation like this... Reminds me a little bit of Pride. Hmph, well it can't be helped. I need to get out of here before the human police come. The neighbors were bound to hear the noise that these idiots made when I was fighting them.

"Nice to meet you kid, now if you excuse me I have somewhere to be."

Wrath turned her back on the girl and made her way to the door, swinging it open to hurry onto the sidewalk. She could hear footsteps behind her so she paused in her walking.

"You need something kid?"

"It's Hayla."

"Don't care. Now I need a good reason why you are following me."

She blushed slightly, "I wanted to ask what you are. I mean normal people don't just barge into other people's houses and kill people."

This time Wrath couldn't hold back the chuckle that was ripped from her throat. I think I'm starting to like this girl.

"You asked what I am? Now who?"

"You already told me your name. Now I want to know what you are. I've seen what you could do and I KNOW that normal humans can't do that. You barely even touched those men! Plus that weird energy coming out of them and into you is sooo not normal."

"You just saw three men die at my hand yet you are chatting to me like we are talking about the weather." Wrath stated with a flat face, her eyes narrowing and once again trying to take in every detail of Hayla.

"It's not the first time that I have seen death, have you SEEN the side of town we are on?"

She motioned to the dirty streets and the ratted clothes that she was wearing. It was then that the demon noticed how her hair looked like a bird's nest while there was almost a wild look to those sparkling eyes. Dirt smeared on every inch of her body making her look like she had a dark tan even when there had been no sun for weeks.

"I suppose I have nothing to lose at this point human-"

"Hayla"

"Don't care. Anyways you have heard of the seven sins of legend correct? Last I checked most humans knew about them."

Hayla nodded her head quickly, her eyes going wide as she put the pieces together. "YOU are one of the sins?! So that is why you said your name was Wrath! I thought that was a bit weird...."

Wrath nodded her head curtly and began to walk again, not seeing if the girl was following behind her.

"I just want to tell you that the name Wrath is stupid. It's your sin but it totally doesn't define YOU."

Wrath looked down at the girl who grinned back at her playfully. She's sharper than she looks. Still I am curious how she even ended up in such a place as the one I found her in.

"Kid I want to know something. How did you end up in that place? Doesn't seem like your scene."

"First off my name is not 'kid' it. is. Hayla. Sound it out with me, Hay-la! and second how would you know what my 'scene' is?" She used air quotes around the word "scene".

"I'm getting tired of your mood swings, just tell me how you ended up there."

She giggled slightly, snapping from sassy to laughing idiot so fast that Wrath almost got whiplash.

"I kind of am the daughter of one of those so-called 'idiots'. My dad was actually the ring leader, I followed him without him knowing today, I hated his line of work, still do. I wanted to get him to stop before making the trade but before I could, someone burst through the door finishing the job for me."

"Ah."

"I suppose I should be thanking you for that one."

"Never thank me for killing someone, I didn't do it for you I did it for my job."

She simply nodded and the two fell into a comfortable silence, Wrath trying to wrap her head around the fact that Hayla had no wrath or anger inside of her. While Hayla was trying to think of the reason why she had convinced herself to follow a very dangerous demon down the dark streets of the Underground.
