WRATHS POV
"Kid? Where are we going?"
"Trust me, my father's death is going to shake the city, he had a lot of allies and a lot of enemies, its going to be a city wide war!"
"Good, then my job will just get easier."
"Wrath!"
"Kidding..." Mostly..
"Good, I'm all for the bad guys dying but when innocents are involved that is where I draw the line."
"Seriously? So it's alright for me to kill your own FAMILY in cold blood but innocent strangers that you have never met are not allowed to die?"
Hayla gave Wrath a harsh look before turning left into a dark alleyway. Wrath slid in next to her, sitting down on a trashcan with a sigh.
This is a great way to start my work. Seriously? I could EASILY take them all but something about this human girl makes me want to please her... Ugh!
"Hey Wrath...?"
"Hm?"
Wrath continued to look down at the ground as she responded, she could hear Hayla take in a deep breath before continuing what she was going to say.
"Whats your other name? I mean you can't just walk around saying your name is Wrath like you did with me."
"Yeah. 'Cause I don't TALK to other people. Plus there is nothing wrong with the name 'Wrath'."
Hayla sighed rolling her eyes, "There is EVERYTHING wrong with that name."
Wrath frowned, Should I tell her? This human is unlike anyone I have ever met... she doesn't seem the least bit scared of me even though she already knows what I am.
"Fine. My real name is Phrei Lennix, at least that is my HUMAN name."
Hayla smiled and nodded while Wrath glared at the opposite wall, "so tell me why we are standing-"
Hayla banged against one of the walls of the building, it made and hollowed THUNK before a door appeared. Wrath raised an eyebrow, slightly concerned about exactly what this girl was involved in.
"You coming?" Hayla opened the door slowly, her eyes started to glow as she passed into a small room, Wrath followed slowly behind her.
I can't believe I actually told her my first name... I just met her yet there is something about her that I like.... DANG IT!
Wrath quickly followed the young girl, the door slamming shut behind her leaving them both in darkness.
Candles lit the walls as the two of them walked into a large study. Hayla sat down heavily in a chair, she tapped a few things on a large computer that was in the middle of the room on the desk. She turned to smile at Wrath, "So Phrei, now that you're involved in this I was hoping that maybe we could figure out how to stop them from fighting."
"I already told you that I don't care if they fight, it's more energy to stop them than to relax and let the humans play it out on their own." She waved a hand in the general direction of the street outside.
Hayla scowled, "and I already told you that I am not about to let that happen!!"
Wrath scowled, "So what IS this place anyways?"
"My father was a secretive man. He made this room to contain all of his secrets."
"Then how do you know this? If he was secretive then he wouldn't have told anyone."
"Followed him one day. He isn't exactly the BEST father, or I guess it's 'wasn't' now isn't it..."
For the first time she looked a little sad but she quickly shook her head and sat down in one of the chairs.
"Now, I think we should focus on the present. I have a plan and I am going to need your help to pull it off." She quickly changed the topic, her expression lightening slightly.
Wrath groaned, How did I get myself into this mess....
