Pride's POV

"Come onnnn guys! Why can't we just go shopping or something?!"

"I'm all for a good time and everything Pride, but I am not about to get on the Prince of Darkness's bad side." Greed glared at the excited girl.

Pride pouted slightly while Envy just sighed. Wrath, Sloth and Lust had already left to begin their jobs. Pride, as always, didn't want to do her work. She thought that she was the best anyways so there was no reason for her to do it until the last minute.

"You guys are no fun!"

"Pride, I really need to go... sorry!" Envy yelped as she vanished from sight.

"Pride, just do your job and no one gets hurt, K?" Greed gave her a knowing look before quickly leaving, making sure that Pride would not continue the argument.

TIME SKIP

"Those guys are soooo boring! I mean I only wanted to have some fun! I'm better then them with the whole taking care of those with our sins anyway!"

She was so lost in her own head that she didn't notice another person running right for her. The two collided and tumbled down onto the pavement.

Pride looked up to see a young girl, her dark brown eyes seemed to pierce through Pride's.  Her face was pale and sweat dripped from her forehead.

"There she is!" Shouts rang out from somewhere behind them, the girl bolted up right and immediately began to run again slipping into an alley way until she was out of sight completely.

Pride smiled to herself, standing up slowly while two giant men came racing out of an ally.

"You! Girl!"

Pride's smile grew as she looked up at them, "Can I help you?"

"Where did that girl go?" The larger of the two men answered, his voice was deep and gruff. His friend folded his arms around his chest, glaring down at her.

Do these IDIOTS think that they can intimidate me? HA! Although this could be pretty interesting... On one hand I could easily tell them a lie, on the other I let her be caught and see where it leads.... So many choices.

"Oi! You deaf girl?!"

One of the men pulled out a sharp looking knife. Welp, guess the decisions made for me! Pride raised her hands in the air, trying to act like she was scared of the giant knife, when instead she could have EASILY taken him.

"Please sir! S-she w-w-went that way!" Pride pointed in a random direction, both men looked down at her through narrowed eyes before the one with the knife pocketed the weapon.

"We aren't going to lose that girl! Let's move. It's you lucky day girl, we have other things to worry about besides you." One of them whispered in Pride's ear, his breath reeked of alcohol.

Pride simply nodded, pretending to be scared stiff. They ran the direction she had pointed out without any other words. She smiled once more, "You can come out now."

The girl stepped out from behind one of the large buildings lining the streets. Pride turns to stare at her, interest growing as the young girl fidgets uncomfortably.

"You realize how stupid that was? They probably would have killed you if they weren't so obsessed with me."

The girl's voice got quiet, although Pride could hear a bit of an edge to it. "You didn't turn me in. Why?" She showed genuine curiosity although Pride could see that she was also watching her intensely, studying her every move. It showed that the girl didn't trust her not to make a move.

She's pretty smart for a girl, those thugs though... I wonder...

Pride quickly tried to get rid of the thoughts as she shrugged, turning to look away from her and towards the buildings surrounding them.

"Why were they chasing you? You don't seem like the girl to get into trouble or have connections to a gang." Her eyes snapped back to the girl who was now flushed and squirming under the demons harsh gaze.

"My question first.."

Pride smiled slightly, "Alright. I helped you because I was bored and I wanted to know why you were running from two giants." She cocked her head slightly, "Your turn!"

"I have something they want. I told them to screw it then I ran, they are a lot faster than what I thought they would be given their size. I totally underestimated how strong they were..."

She blushed looking at the concrete. Hmmmm, cute. What did I just think?

Pride shook her head roughly, "I am most interested in what the name of the one I rescued is." She changed the subject flawlessly and got the girls attention.

"Oh right! We never introduced ourselves!! Hi my name is Mage!" She let a small smile flutter crossed her face.

"Well Mage, I suppose we should get out of here before those men come back." Pride looked around for a possible escape route.

"We could go to my house, it's pretty close to here and those men have no idea where I live. I move around a lot anyways."

"Very well, lead the way."

"Wait! I never got your name!" Mage looked at Pride with a new spark in her eyes, Pride's smile grew ever larger and she leaned in a little closer.

"The names Gila."
