Renegades' recent mission was a success, he was returning to the hide-out to give Deathstroke the report and discuss further plans regarding the situation. His motorbike sped through the empty streets of Gotham, Renegade's mind wandered to the recurring dreams that had started almost two days ago. He hadn't mentioned them to Slade as they didn't seem concerning, but odd.
When Renegade reached the hide-out he parked his motorbike, left his helmet in the garage and headed inside. He walked down the long hallway and made his way to check Slades' office first, knocking on the door he waited for a reply. When there was no response he went to his room to get changed out of his uniform. The kelver suit was comfortable but track pants and a hoodie were better in Rens' opinion, he checked the time before going to the kitchen.
"Welcome back Renegade, you're half an hour earlier than expected," Slade said while motioning to the clock that read 9:30 pm, Renegade smiled as he placed the USB drive on the table in fount of Slade.
"Did you save me some dinner?" Ren asked while opening the fridge to find a plated portion of sausages, mashed potatoes and peas waiting for him.
"Of course, I wouldn't want you starving before your next mission now, would I?" Slade said as Ren sat down to eat.
"According to the USB and the information I found, the young justice league are going to be trailing us -well, try to at least- to try and capture me, and get me to spill our plans" Ren explained once he had finished eating his dinner. Slades' eye narrowed slightly before responding,
"Well, what do you want to do about that?" Slade asked, wondering what his apprentice would come up with on the spot.
"Oh! We should lead them on a wide goose chase! How fun would that be? It could help keep the Bat distracted too" Ren exclaimed, this caused Slade to give a small smile. Renegade was already improving on his planning and techniques, Slade had almost forgotten how smart the kid was.
"You've been doing so well Renegade, I'm giving you the day off tomorrow," Slade said as he stood up, Ren thought for a minute he hadn't had a day off in a while
"Don't stay up too late," Slade said, patting Ren on the shoulder before walking away.
"Goodnight, son" Ren smiled at the affection as he responded,
"I won't. Goodnight Dad" Ren walked to his room after washing his dishes and got ready for bed, as he fell asleep he wondered what he would do tomorrow.
