'Crush'

Lana's pov-

I finished getting dressed, I was wearing a black dress that went down to my lower thigh. I paired it with some combat boots. I looked at the time, it was 5:30. Then I heard a knock on my door, I opened the door, it was Joseph. "Are you ready?" he asked me, I nodded and grabbed my phone, then walked out the door closing it behind me. "You look lovely!" he told me "thank you, as do you" I responded. 

    We arrived at the restaurant, we walked in and I saw a big table with all of the cast except for us. We walked over to the table "Oh hey, Joseph, Lana" said Maya, we smiled as me and Joseph took the seats that were still open. Joseph was to my right, Sadie was to my left, while Maya was in front of me and Joe was in front of Joseph. I look at Maya and smile, from the corner of my eye I see Joe staring at me and Joseph. I decided to ignore it "So, Lana I don't know if you've fully met, Millie, Noah, Finn, Natalia, Charlie, and Eduardo yet" I smile "Well I've only seen them doing scenes, it's nice to fully meet all of you" I say looking at all of them. They all smiled and nodded in response. "So lana, how long have you worked at set" Millie asked me, she had a british accent like Joseph, I looked in her direction "Uhh, almost a week now" I gave her a smile "Oh that's nice, do you fancy it" she asked, I nodded "I do, everyone is very welcome and super nice" I look at Joseph, he gave me a soft smile, I smile back. "Yeah, some people have been a little too nice to you" Joe intrudes, I look in Joe's direction and give him a confused expression. He looked mad, almost. I decided to leave it alone and brush it off. "Well, I'm glad that you like it here" Millie said with a smile breaking the silence. I gave her a soft smile, and looked down at the table. Then Joseph whispered in ear "are you alright, love?" I smile at his question and look up at him, "Yeah, I'm okay" I whisper back to him, "I'm going to the restroom" Joseph says, he gets up and walks to the bathroom. Everyone's conversations died down and it soon became silent, "Lana, I'm sorry for asking but are you and Joseph dating?" Noah asked me, I smiled and opened my mouth to speak "Of course not, they are just friends" Joe cuts in. "Joe, let her speak for herself" Sadie says, I laugh nervously "Uhh, no we are not" I tell them "Oh, well I can tell he really likes you" Noah says, I look down at the table to hide my red face "I think they like each other" Sadie adds. I shrug my shoulders and everyone laughs "What are we laughing about" Joseph says as he sits down "not you" Joe says quietly enough for us to hear, Maya elbows him in the arm. I became very angry, but I took a deep breath and just let it go "So I heard you and Joe are very close" Charlie spoke up, I laughed. "Which one?" I said jokingly "he's obviously talking about me, come on" Joe said smiling, everyone laughed cause they thought it was funny but it was just making me mad. "Well, me and Keery have known each other since I was a teenager." I managed to smile a bit "That's nice!" Charlie smiled at me, I nodded. "Joseph and Lana have become close ever since Lana came on set! They have a great friendship" Gaten says, Joe scoffs "Yeah they became a little too close" he says under his breath. I scoff to myself I couldn't take this anymore, not with hows he's talking about Joseph "Hey Joe, may I have a word with you outside" Joe nods then gets up. 

We walk out of the restaurant, I stop in front of the door. "What was that?" I sternly ask, Joe looks at me "What was what?" I wasn't buying it "Don't pretend like you don't know, what is going on with you" He shrugs his shoulders "Nothing, I just don't like Joseph hanging out with you, or you being around him like you are all the time" I didn't understand "Why, was wrong with him?" He shrugs "He just is not the guy you think he is. He's said some things about you behind your back, and they're not good things either" I scoff  "Joe, what are you talking about, what kind of things?" I question him "Well, for starters he said that he was gonna make you fall in love with him and then he was just gonna leave you once you did" Joe seemed genuine "I'm sorry Lana but it's true" I shake my head in disbelief "No…no he wouldn't do that" Joe starts to nod his head "I would get rid of those feelings for him, before he breaks your heart" I scoff "he wouldn't do that, Joe. H-he's…nice…and…and…genuine…and…-" I feel tears in my eyes "I know, it hurts but it's the truth, Lana. I'm sorry" I looked up at him. Was it true? Was Joseph really saying that about me? Was he really making me fall in love with him just for him to leave me? I don't know for sure, but Joe seemed to be telling the truth. I just wanted this night to be over. "Well I don't really have feelings for him anyway" Joe laughs a bit "Yeah, you do Lana, but that can't last any longer, he will break your heart" he told me, I stand there for a second "Can I just go home" Joe nodded "I'll take you, do want to say goodbye to the rest of the cast before we go, you won't see Charlie, Finn, Noah, or Eduardo for a while" I nod as I suck up the tears in my eyes and walk in.
