'This Side Of Paradise'

I woke up, I stared at the ceiling and remembered what happened last night. I sat up and looked to my right expecting to see Joseph, but he wasn't there. I rubbed my eyes while slowly getting out of bed. I open my bedroom door and look out to the left where the living room is, he wasn't there. I looked over to the right and there he was. I smiled to myself as I entered the kitchen, I saw he was cooking while softly listening to music. He looks over to me and smiles, "good afternoon, my love" I smile at him and give him a kiss on the cheek, "good afternoon" I say as I go over to the cabinet and get a cup. I went over to the fridge and got the orange juice out, pouring it into my cup. "How'd you sleep?" he asks me, I finish pouring the orange juice "Awesome, I haven't slept like that in years" I say putting the juice away. "Good, I could say the same." He smiles at me. I looked over at the oven clock and saw it was 7:29 pm, we didn't have to be on set until 9:00 pm. "so, whatcha makin?" I ask him, I walk over to him and look over his shoulder to see. "scrambled eggs and waffles" he chuckles "Oooo, breakfast for dinner" I say, he nods in response, continuing cooking. 

He finishes cooking and he gives me my plate "bon appetit!" he says to me, I laugh at him. Soon I finished eating first, he was a slow eater. I took my plate to the kitchen to put in the sink, I noticed that he hadn't turned the music off. A song ended and I wanted to see what song was gonna play next. Then I heard the beginning of 'Animals' by Neon Trees. It was one of my favorite songs back in 2010, when it came out. I turned it up and started to dance in the kitchen. Joseph was finished so he came over to put his plate in the sink, he saw I was dancing and started laughing "c'mon dance with me!" I said holding a hand out for him to take. He put his plate in the sink and started dancing with me. 'whoa oh, I want some more. Oh oh, what are you waiting for? Take a bite of my heart tonight'  I started to sing the lyrics as we danced and started to clean the kitchen. 

The song ended and we finished cleaning the kitchen. "We are so much fun," he tells me. He walks up to me and hugs me tightly "I know right" I laugh and hug him back. we pull away and he kisses me "I love you" he tells me, I smile at him "I love you too" I look over at the clock and it was 8:00 pm, "I hate to ruin this sweet moment but, we need to get ready for work" I say to him as I walk out of the kitchen "wait, you don't have an extra pair of clothes do you?" I ask him, stopping in my tracks "Oh yeah, I do. I got some last night before I came over here" he explained to me with a smile. I nod my head at him and go to my room and change. I put on my black staff shirt with some black pants and some converse. 

I come out to see Joseph already dressed in a blue button up shirt and some jeans, standing by the door waiting for me. "Are you ready?" he questioned me, smiling. I return his smile and nod in response. He opens the door, gesturing for me to go first. 

We arrived at the trailer park we were filming at. We got out of the car and started to walk hand in hand. Jamie comes up to us, he sees us holding hands and a big smile appears on his face. We both smiled at him "Hello darlings" he said to us both and gave us both a hug "Hi, Jamie" I spoke. After he pulled away from our hug he winked at me, I gave him a smile. We all started walking to the trailers, Maya came running up to "Lana, what happened last night? Who was at your door?" Maya looked down at me and Joseph's hands, then her eyes widened "Are you guys-?" she pointed at both of us, "yes, we are together now" he said, he looked at me "we never really established that together but yeah we are" I smiled at him "Well, can I please borrow your girlfriend so we can go talk about you behind your back?" Maya asks Joseph, him and Jamie chuckles. He nods his head "Nothing bad though" he smiles at me before letting go of my hand "of course" I gave him a kiss and then left with Maya.
