'Head Over Heels'

It's Saturday, and everyone has the weekend off. I was in my apartment, sitting on the couch with a soft gray blanket covering my legs, as I sat and watched the first season of Stranger Things, cause I'm weird and haven't seen it yet, so I thought it was a perfect time to watch it. I hear a knock at the door, then it opens "Hey lana!" says Joseph walking into my apartment "Hey Joseph" I say "You really shouldn't leave your door unlocked like that, intruders could come in" he says with a laugh, "Yeah, like you" I say to him, he laughs even harder "whatcha watching" he walks up to me and looks over at the tv "Stranger things" I told him, he nods in response "I've never watched it before" He looks over to me with his eyes wide, "Wha- you've never watched stranger things before and you work on the set of stranger things…how does that make sense" I looked at him "I don't know, stop judging me" I paused the show so I wouldn't miss anymore of it "I'm not judging you, I just think that's so….interesting that you haven't seen stranger things yet you work on the set" He laughs "whatever" I told him, he walks up to me "You need to get up, come on, let's go do something fun" he grabs my arms and tries to pull me up off the couch "I don't want to" I whine with a smile on my face, he laughs "here, why don't we go to the store and get some snacks and something we can cook for dinner and we can watch a movie tonight" I sigh and pull the gray blanket off of me, I put my hand out playfully, Joseph grabs them and helps me off the couch. He looks down at my outfit, "I think you need to change" he smiles, I raise an eyebrow then look down, I was still in my pjs, I laugh nervously "Yeah, I'll be right back" I told him, going to my room to change. I put on a pair of shorts and a Led Zeppelin t-shirt with some platforms and called it a day. 

    I walk out to see Joseph on his phone, he looks up at me and smiles "You look great" I smile at him, "Thank you" he grabs his keys and we head out of my apartment. 

We arrive at the store which was Walmart, I get out of the car, Joseph does the same thing "Last one there has to pay for everything" Joseph says, we both start running in the parking lot, it catches up to him and runs past him, I got to the door first. Joseph was still running, a car honked at him "Sorry!" he said to the driver. I laughed when he finally got to the door. "You're so slow," I told him, I grabbed his hand and jogged inside, I got a shopping cart from the big line of shopping carts. He grabbed the shopping cart from me "What are you-" I started "Get in!" he tells me, I climbed into the shopping cart. He starts pushing it, he starts to run and go crazy with the cart, "Joseph! Calm down please" we both start laughing. We get to the snack aisle, I grab a thing of oreos and put it in the cart with me, I look around the aisle "Oh Joseph can you grab those gushers over there" I point over to where the gushers were. He grabs the gushers and gives them to me, I smile so big "I've never seen you so excited for a snack before" he laughs "Hey, I love me some gushers now" He continues to push the cart slowly down the aisle and grabs whatever snacks he can find. "What do you want for dinner tonight, love" I could really get used to that question every night "I don't know, maybe spaghetti" I suggested "that's a great idea" we head over to the next aisle and get the sauce that we need. Then we find spaghetti noodles, I get out of the cart, "What are you doing now" he asks me "it's your turn, get in" I told him, he scoffs playfully "I'm not getting in that" he puts the noodles down into the cart "I did it, it's only fair" I told him, he sighs "c'mon it's not that bad" I laugh, he gets in the cart "I barely fit!" he whines "Oh you big baby" I laugh at his whining, I start pushing the cart "Where are we going" I smile at him "To get ice cream, and then we are leaving" He nods. We get to the ice cream aisle and I look at all of the ice creams until I find cookie dough. Once I find it, I put it in the cart, Joseph looks at me "Really, cookie dough?" I laugh, "Yeah, do you want some Ice cream?" He smiles "Pistachio please" I nod and look for the ice cream, I find it and put it in the cart. "Alright time to go" I pushed the cart to the self check out section. Joseph got out of the cart and we scanned and paid for everything. We took the very few bags that we had and went out to Joseph's car. 

We got to my apartment and set all of the bags down on the counter. I take everything out of the bags and  just before I was about to throw the bags away "Wait" Joseph says, I stop what I'm doing and look at him "Do you really throw those bags away" I laugh and continue throwing them away "Yeah, I do" I walk over to the counter and stand beside him whos getting ready to cook the spaghetti "You can save those, ya know" I chuckled a bit "Oh I know, I used to but I never did anything with them so I just stopped" he nods in response. I get a pot and fill it up with water, Joseph on the other hand, goes and gets my bluetooth speaker from the living room. He turns it on and connects his phone to it, I give him a confused expression on my face, he smiles and looks at me while the beginning of 'Head Over Heels' by Tears For Fears plays. He starts dancing around the kitchen, I laugh at him, he offers his hand to me "I gotta watch water boil" I tell him not wanting to dance, cause I can't. "Oh c'mon" I sigh and take his hand 'Something happens and I'm head over heels' we dance all around the kitchen and share a bunch of laughs 'I never find out, til I'm head over heels' the song continues, he spins me around, and our eyes meet once again, he gives me a soft smile. I look over to the water boiling ready for the pasta noodles to go in. I go over to the pot still dancing with the song. I start to cook the pasta while Joseph dances around, I take a break from sturing and join him in dancing once again, 'Head over heels' ends and 'After Dark' by Mr.Kitty starts to play "oh my gosh I love this song" I say to Joseph, he laughs. 'As the hours pass, I will let you know, that I need to ask, before I'm alone' Joseph put the ice cream away in the freezer, then he goes over to the oreos and eats one "hey, were cooking dinner" I smile at him, he shrugs then goes over to the pot and starts stirring the pot of pasta. 

We finished making the spaghetti, we both sat down in the living room and started eating. "So what movie do you want to watch" I ask the boy beside me "Well I haven't seen the Notebook" I looked over at him "you haven't seen the notebook yet?" He looks at me and shakes his head "Well I know what we are watching tonight" he smiles at me and I smile back. 

We started watching 'The Notebook' and ate a lot of snacks, soon the movie ends "Wow, that was better than I expected" Joseph tells me while cleaning up everything "Yeah, see I told you it was good" We both laugh, "well it's getting late, I better get going" he tells me after he finished cleaning up. "Already?" He chuckles "yeah, I have to meet up with someone tomorrow" I sigh "I had so much fun with you today" he tells me, I smile "Yeah, I did too" He grabs his keys and walks over to the door "Goodnight, love" He opens the door, "Goodnight, Joseph" I gave him a smile, he walks away as I close the door to my apartment.
