Sorting Hat II

The ride to Hogwarts was nice. Everyone got to know one another, and Athena made friends, for which she was very grateful. Even if she wasn't sorted into the same house later that night, she was glad she still had made some friends. At some point, Rosalie thought it was a good idea to introduce Athena to Libbi and everyone. She agreed. So they bid everyone a bye and left. Draco reminded Rosalie that he'd save her a seat at the table, she slightly blushed about it trying to hide it.

Pansy shifted in her seat upon hearing that.

The two girls went looking throughout the train for the compartment with the most people, basically, with the friend group growing more and more. Rosalie finally found everyone, wasn't too hard the door had to be open from how many people were in there. "Hey everyone, wanted you to meet my new friend Athena" Everyone waved at her "Nice to meet you everyone" Athena smiled back shyly. Libbi being Libbi could sense her shyness, "Here come sit I'll make some room for you two" She stood up and leaned against the window next to Oliver who she was previously talking to. Something came over him, and he pulled her hand then she was sitting on his lap. And Libbi was left speechless, which isn't something that happens too often to her. "Hope this is okay beautiful" Oliver whispered into her ear, she nodded ever so slightly but he saw, and placed a hand on her hip to keep her secure and continued with the conversation he was having with Elio about Qudditch.

Fred was sitting across from the pair, and when the whole interaction went down, he felt stiff. His jaw slightly locked into place as well. Poor Freddie...

Rosalie and Athena sat down next to the pair in the corner. Athena sat next to Cora and Cedric, and they instantly started talking. The whole compartment was full and blissful. Music to Rosalie's ears, and an amazing start to her second year. She's very excited for everything. A new adventure, with great people.

Boy, was she wrong... Anyway, getting ahead of myself, aren't I?

Rosalie was jumping with joy practically when they arrived at Hogwarts. Her home away from home. Meanwhile, Athena had nerves radiating off of her, but she wasn't the only one. Ginny Weasley was also a first year, and being sorted. Although she seemed to be keeping her cool and putting on a brave face, she was nervous as hell on the inside as well.

Everyone got off the train and pilled onto carriages, when they pulled forward at Hogwarts Rosalie and Elio gave Cordi and Hermione a hug saying they'll see each other later. At that moment the four of them realized two extra people were missing, "Where the bloody hell is Harry and Ron?" asked Rosalie and no one had the answer. Now everyone was growing worried, but there was no time the sorting ceremony was starting soon, so the four went their separate ways.

Cora and Cedric had helped Athena and Ginny find their way to be called for their sorting.

Elio and Rosalie made their way to the Slytherin table. As they were approaching Rosalie remembered Draco's words, he'll save a seat, so there was a little pep in her step now. And that came crashing down when Draco came into view and there was no seat available next to him, like he said he would. Pansy was instead. But of course, she is, Draco likes Pansy, not Rosalie, but why'd it sting her heart so much? Pushing the feeling aside, she pulled Elio to sit next to her as she sat by Libbi, who ironically was across Draco and Pansy. They were in a deep conversation with Blaise and Theo, so they didn't notice them sitting down.

"Libs have you seen Harry by any chance?" Rosalie asked the platinum blond girl in front of her "Or even Ron" asked Elio. Libbi shook her head no, she was a little shaken up and in a haze after a talk she had with a certain Mr. Oliver Wood in a broom closet about 3 minutes prior. "No, I haven't loves why?" "We've realized we haven't seen them since the platform that's all, um uh Libbi?" Rosalie cut her worries short over her brother and his best friend to hone in on her best friend in front of her. Her lipstick was slightly smudged, and she hadn't eaten or drunk anything on the train ride over.

"Hm Rose?" the girl was confused about why her worries were gone all of a sudden and her tone switched to suspicion, Libbi knew there was no way Rosalie knew what just happ- "Why is your lipstick smudged a little?" Rosalie had a faint smirk playing on her lips and Libbi saw Elio lean over to see what she meant and stifled a laugh with a cough. 'The little shit of course he didn't say anything and of course she'd figure it out' Libbi thought. "Uh," saved by the bell Dumbledore had started his speech to begin the sorting ceremony. She quickly took a napkin and fixed it to not be smudged anymore.

Rosalie almost let out a laugh with Elio at Libbi's face of being caught in the act. When Dumbledore began his speech she realized Libbi wouldn't fess up about what happened, she leaned over and whispered "Later chat tonight in the dorm? I'll sneak in Elio, Cordi, and Cora" Libbi to which she just nodded and let out a simple 'mhm' in embarrassment. She wasn't paying attention to Dumbledore's speech, she was instead looking over at Gryffindor table. Right, where Oliver was sitting. Shooting daggers at him, and if looks could kill, the bloke would be as dead as a nail. The boy was wearing a cheeky grin on him, he knew what he did, and was proud of it too. She'll get him back for it, but it'll be so worth it. Fred was sitting next to Oliver, seeing Libbi and him look at each other. Jealousy was coursing through him, and he didn't know how to feel about it.

While this was happening, Rosalie was letting Elio know they were all meeting up later that night. They were just whispering back and forth with each other about later. Draco finally realized the ginger-haired girl was sitting across from him. He knew he didn't save a seat for her, Pansy had gotten into his head about things that shouldn't and don't even matter to Draco. Rosalie and Elio were whispering back and forth together, and to Draco, it seemed flirtatious. His body moved in discomfort, he didn't like it. But why? He's not sure why but what he does know is that he doesn't like the idea of his cousin flirting with one of the few girls he can tolerate.

A/N 1150 words you guys are being fed just wrote this chapter in about 2 hours for you. Although the sorting didn't happen it led up to that point. Athena is a Hufflepuff and Ginny is obviously a Gryffindor. This chapter was kind of a dozy kind of gives you insight into things! And to clarify Libbi and Rose share a dorm that's it, the first year it was them plus Pansy, but she requested to have a shared room with someone else instead of three people. This is the last flashback chapter, the next chapter is officially Prisoner of Azkaban!! Third years are 16 for the storyline's sake, I'll let you know when their ages will change :) This chapter was kind of short but it is just background information, filler if you will, but they'll get longer!
