Part 5: Don't Be Late

YUNHYEONG POV

I finally arrive to the studio. I slowly walk up the stairs feeling fear that I'll be shunned by Hanbin.

Once I arrive to the 2nd floor, I see Bobby in the hallway sitting down on a chair. The moment I notice him, he sees me.

"Hi hyung.." I said nervously.

"Why are you late?" he asked calmly, although the look on his face didn't seem pleased.

"I napped on accident and overslept.. I'm sorry.."

"Well you're lucky cause I covered for you."

"Thank you, but you didn't have to."

"Just make sure it doesn't happen again alright? Hanbin is gonna get mad, and I'm not covering you next time. Go walk in and practice the choreography with the others," Bobby said. I couldn't afford to be late again. I can't get kicked off this team. I just can't.

I walk inside and Hanbin doesn't even look me in the eyes, yet he knew it was me who walked in. "Yunhyeong let's go. C'mon you're behind a bit," he said. I could tell from his body language that he was a little upset. I obeyed the leader's request and practiced with the others while Hanbin watched.

"For a guy who was almost 2 hours late, you did okay, but could have been better," Hanbin said. "Don't let it happen again."

"I won't. I'm sorry.." I said and bowed.

"Its okay. You worked hard anyways. You just need to express yourself more. You seem dull when you dance. I trust you won't be late again. You guys are done for today. I'm gonna be in the studio with Bobby and Jinhwan working on our album a little bit."

I shook my head yes and gave him the okay. Donghyuk and Junhoe went in their own cars while Jinhyeong asked me if he could ride with me. We began our drive back to the dorm.

"So..what happened?" he asked.

"I overslept.."

"Where? You weren't at the dorm when I woke up."

"Chanwoo's house."

"Ouuuu you guys did the freaky freaky?"

"Omo I'm gonna hit you. We did nothing Jinhyeong!"

"Someone's defensive! Just kidding. How was it though?"

"It was nice honestly. I cooked for him and what not. Its nice spending time with him."

"I know how you feel. I've been seeing my girlfriend too. I saw her earlier today before practice. I don't get to see her much now that I'm on the team."

"Isn't it hard? Being with someone yet you're too busy for them?" I asked.

"Yeah definitely. I mean I leave my phone at the dorm so I'm not distracted during practice, yet I feel bad when I can't call her and say goodnight since she's already asleep."

"How are you two handling it?"

"Well I don't know about you and Chanwoo, but we both talked about the possibility of me being busy before the results came out and how we would adjust to it. We hang out on random days were both not busy, kind of like you and Chanwoo."

"Do you ever miss her?"

"Of course. I think about her even during practice. I want her to be my number one fan besides my mom! If you miss Chanwoo, just think about performing for him or practicing in front of him. It helps me do better in practice."

I listened to his advice with an open mind and heart, hoping that maybe it'll help with my lack of expression Hanbin was talking about.

We arrived at the dorm and I immediatey shower and get washed up for bed. I then went to my room and text Chanwoo in my own privacy. "Hey. I'm not in trouble so don't worry," I sent

"Okay good. Keke~ when will be a good time to drop by and return your stuff?" He replied.

"Bring it on Monday. No practice til the evening like usual."

"Okay hyung! ^^ are you gonna be free to hang out?"

"Maybe, as long as I'm not late again."

"Let's hang out in the area and go to the ice cream parlor you like to go to!"

"Sounds like a plan. I'm gonna head to sleep okay? I'll message you in the morning. I like you! :3"

"I like you :*"

And from that point I tried to sleep, thinking about today. How I got to be next to the one I care about. How I miss his presence. Just thinking about him being here helps me doze off.
