The Secluded Trails of Deceit

I didn't know how it happened, but after that, even though they were chaotic, we still managed to survive in the end. Si Draven ay pana'y ang asikaso sa'kin, habang binabawian naman siya ni Helix. He's purposely teasing him by copying what he does every single time. The latter couldn't help but crease his forehead or roll his eyes in annoyance.

Sa tuwing ginagawa naman nila 'yon ay tumatanggi ako. Kunwari ay bibigyan nila ako ng tissue, uunahan ako sa pag-abot ng baso ko, o 'di kaya naman ay aalukin ako ng mga pagkain na wala naman sa lamesa namin. I would just glance at them with one of my brows raised, questioning them, and they'd let me do what I was about to do if they hadn't butted in on it in the first place.

After that, Draven, Helix, and I walked out and headed straight to my next class. Ako lang naman dapat, pero hindi sila pumayag. For Helix, well, it's understandable since he's in the same building as me, while Draven was just being the usual guy he is. Dala nila parehas ang nga gamit ko. Kay Draven ang canister at t-square ko, habang naka'y Helix naman ang bag ko.

I felt someone's arm on my shoulder, but I didn't bother shoving it out. Si Draven mismo ang gumawa no'n sa braso ni Helix. He sneakily stretched his arms too, like he was feeling sore all of a sudden, just to hit him away.

Instead of putting it on me again, Helix just chuckled and snuck both of his hands into the pockets of his jeans.

He glanced at me, "How about we visit Tita and Tito..? I'm sure miss na ako ng parents mo." malakas na sabi niya at saglit pang pinasadahan ng tingin si Draven.

"Tanginang 'to — miss mo mukha mo. Buhulin ko 'yang dila mo , eh." I heard him scoffing beside me quietly, "Ano naman ngayon?!" pasigaw na bulong niya.

"Ikaw lang pala ang miss, eh." I crossed my arms, not minding what Draven said. "Bumisita ka mag-isa mo."

Helix patted my head. "Ano'ng ako lang..? Kinakamusta ka nga sa'kin nila, eh. Hindi ka raw sumasagot sa mga tawag o text nila sa'yo."

With that, Draven's footsteps turned heavy for a few seconds. Tunog nagdadabog 'yon, pero tinigil niya rin naman kaagad matapos kong tumingin sakanya.

I rolled my eyes, glancing back at Helix, who was also watching him and trying to hold his laugh. "Sumasagot naman ako minsan. Masyado lang talaga silang maraming sinasabi."

"Ang sabihin mo, tinatamad ka lang." He chuckled before handling me back my bag after I stopped in front of my designated room, "Ano'ng bago ro'n..?" dagdag na sabi niya.

My shoulders shrugged. "Yeah, right."

A smirk formed on his lips before he turned his back on us. "Huwag mong itakas 'yan, brad. Malilintikan ka hindi lang sa'kin, kundi sa mga magulang niyan." Kumaway siya nang nakatalikod bilang paalam matapos sabihin 'yon sa aming dalawa.

I shook my head and glanced at Draven, who was already looking at me. Nilahad ko ang kamay ko sa harapan niya. His eyes blinked, looking clueless because of that.

My forehead creased when I noticed his hand too, slowly getting nearer to mine. Kaagad kong binawi ang kamay ko bago niya pa 'yon mahawakan at hinablot na lamang ang t-square at canister ko mula sakanya.

He cleared his throat with a hint of shyness. Kinamot niya ang batok niya at ngumiwi habang nakaiwas ang tingin sa'kin.

"What the heck are you thinking, dumbass?" Hindi ko napigilan na itanong habang inaayos ang pagkakasukbit ng straps ng mga gamit ko sa aking balikat.

"Kung naririnig ba ni Lord ang pagdadabog ko sa utak ko." He stomped both of his feet as he suddenly breathed out huge air. "Parang ganito."

My forehead creased, "You're sulking for no reason? Baliw ka na ba..?" hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko sakanya.
