Avnita's pov:

Breath in.

Breath out.

Breath in.

Breath out.

Breath in.

Bre-

Out of nowhere, I am interrupted by my alarm.

Today is my first day at work. I woke up even before my alarm rang due to excitement.

But then I started getting nervous which resulted in, me doing breathing exercises to calm my nerves. I am going to work for a huge company. It's not the same as working in a flower shop with your friends whom you have known since you started speaking.

I have no experience working anywhere else whatsoever except in the flower shop, mainly because my parents didn't allow me to work. They wanted me to work only after I completed my studies and god knows how much convincing it took, for them to allow me to work with Riya.

They have been quite protective of me growing up because they both work. Not that I mind. They are the most loving people I have met.

I am going out of my mind thinking about how things are going to be different. It's going to be so tough working in a whole different environment with a bunch full of strangers. Gosh, I am having second thoughts about this job now.

Come on Nita you can do this. You have waited so long for this opportunity. Everything will be fine. Now get your butt up and go get ready.

After reassuring myself, I finally moved out of my bed and went to the bathroom with my towel.

I brushed my teeth and jumped under the shower, washing my hair with shampoo and conditioner and washing my body with coconut and honey-scented body wash. After showering, I dried myself with my towel and applied some cocoa and shea butter lotion all over my body. I love its smell.

Wrapping the towel around me, I step into my room, make a beeline towards my wardrobe, just stand there with a finger on my lips and stare at my clothes even though I already decided what I would wear.

When I didn't find anything unique to wear, I took out the outfit I chose earlier.

It was a long leaf-green Kurti with half sleeves and white palazzo pants. To flatter the outfit, I wore my big jhumkas along with my gold bracelet and watch. Then I applied a little bit of kohl and lipstick and nothing else because I don't know how to do the rest of the makeup thing.

I looked good in my opinion and professional I think so. Taking a deep breath, I give myself one last look in the mirror while taking my handbag and went downstairs to have my breakfast.

I was not surprised to find no one around the house and varieties of homemade dishes for breakfast neatly placed on top of the kitchen counter.

My parents are genuine morning persons which unfortunately I did not inherit.

They wake up around 5 am as my paa goes for a jog while maa makes breakfast. After that, they just go to work together because they work in the same company.

I thank the bus driver and depart the bus. And stand in front of a huge building.

I only had one word to say.

"Wow"

With a wide open mouth, I look around with astonishment. THE MALISHKA'S is written in bold letters on the building with diamonds around the corners. It made me think about whether they are real or fake but seeing the CEO's success, I highly doubt they are fake and the way they are shining, they are undoubtedly real.
