Mr Mehra's POV:

I still remember the day I saw her in my office. But before I could do or say anything, she was gone. Just like a beautiful dream.

I felt like I had let my life's most precious thing slip away.

Oh, how magnificent she looked in her pink suit. I was convinced that my heart was going to burst from the amount of adoration it was feeling for that person. The innocence, shyness, nervous eyes, fiddling fingers and everything about her touched my heart.

That beautiful stranger was something else and I look forward to meeting her.

*knock knock*

"Come in." I sighed, already knowing who was at the door.

"Bhai you wanted to talk." Kabir is standing near the door with his head bowed.

"I know what you did!" My words reverberated in the office while he flinched.

"I am sorry bhai, it will never happen again." The little shit said, his voice quivering a bit.

"Make sure of it and you better apologize to the girl." He sighed in relief.

"Before telling her that she is fired." I completed my sentence. The ease he was feeling is all gone.

"You can't do that! It was my fault that I forgot to give her the file." He tried to justify for her but it's not gonna work here.

"She should have informed the head that she didn't have the file rather than being a mute! It cost me billions of dollars and I don't even care about the money, but my hard-earned company's reputation was at stake in front of those American dealers! And if I didn't had a copy then I would have made sure that she doesn't get a job anywhere. Now go and do as I said."

I burst at him, my anger rising, and I closed my eyes as he went out of my office, slightly slamming the door behind him. He was probably upset that I fired the girl because of him. I just sighed and leaned back on my chair, no matter what, he is still my little brother and I can't stay angry at him for long.

Kabir is only a couple of years younger than me, three years to be exact. But he still behaves like a goddamn kid and it's all my mother's doing. No matter how much I try to make him behave and be responsible, my mother always intervenes and coddles him like a fùcking baby.

And I respect my mother too much to go against her words. I wouldn't be in this world if not because of her and I also wouldn't have been able to achieve where I am today if not because of her upbringing. That's why, I try my best to listen and follow every word she says.

I also have a cousin Rudra who is no less annoying than Kabir, it seems like they both have similar goals in their life which is to be a pain in my ass. But my Chachi (Aunt) is the sweetest person in our house, she is the only one who agrees with my opinions about those troublemakers and makes sure to pull their ears till they are in line.

Among all the people living in the house, Sanjhana Chachi is the most sensible and practical, much like me.

About her husband, well he is a coward bìtch who left his family for some unknown reasons. I frankly don't like him but I would be lying if I said he didn't have an impact on my life. He was a renowned businessman and also inspired me to pursue a business career.

My father was an orthopaedic surgeon and also was heavily invested in charity and helping people. I couldn't really relate or equip interest in those kinds of stuff like saving lives, doing good and everything affiliated with that. So naturally I looked up to my Chachu (Uncle) a lot growing up.
