Avnita's pov:
I am confused.
'About your life?'
No, I am not confused about my life!
Okay, maybe a little.
But why are people working this late at night? It's not like no one works at night, though I thought most corporate companies have 9 to 5 work type of thing going on.
And I have zero clue as to what to do. Should I give this to the person himself? Should I give this to the receptionist? Or should I call a random person around here and tell them to give this to the guy addressed in the card?
'Or you could call Riya and ask her.'
Oh, right.
Just as I was about to dial Riya, I got a message informing me that my recharge plan is expired.
Great. Just great.
Sighing, I look around, not knowing what to do. So I walk up to the nearest person I can find, a man busy on his phone. Might I add yet another tall man.
He turns around and stares at me for a good minute. Huh.
"My god, you are beautiful."
"What?!" I exclaimed utterly weirded out.
"I said you are beautiful. Now tell me your name and your purpose to visit our humble company?" He says everything with a grin on his face. Not helping the situation. But I still replied to him.
"I am Avnita, and I am here to deliver flowers to Mr Mehra. Could you help me, I am new to this."
"I see. Why don't you deliver it yourself? I will show you the way. I am sure Mr Mehra will appreciate it more if you will give the bouquet to him rather than from a mere peasant of this company much like myself." He said with a mischievous look and a hand on his chest.
Peasant?! Judging by his appearance, he is anything but a peasant.
"Okay." I say hesitantly, quite unsure of what to do. And we proceed to make our way inside the enormous building. The mystery man beside me is handsome, not gonna lie. With a navy blue shirt and black slacks, he is quite a look.
"What's your name?" I asked him when I realised I didn't know his name.
"You will find out soon." he says with a wink.
Sighing, I look around to see people dressed in suits and short skirts with tight buns, looking every bit professional and a model. Not a single person in traditional attire, not that it's a problem. But in my company, except for a few, most of the time all the employees wear Indian outfits, including our boss Mrs Malishka. So it was a little weird for me since I am kind of an odd man out here. I was dressed in a Patiala, and I had to wear it today only. Stupid Nita.
Probably, that's why people are looking at me weirdly, except for a few women who are glaring at me. Also, it's 8 p.m. with people still working while not a single person is looking tired at all.
"Where are you lost?" I heard a voice breaking me out of my thoughts.
"Um, sorry. But could you tell me why no one is questioning us?"
I found it quite weird that no one stopped me. Not even the receptionist.
"You will get to know soon."
I give him a confused look to which he just winks, and then we go in a red elevator different from the others. After a while, we arrive on the third last floor of the building, which by the way, screams money. Damn. Then we walk towards the giant door at the end of the corridor, but when I look closely, I see the CEO written on it.
