It's now day time and we were at a construction site. Eddie's sneaking up to grab a walkie-talkie and i'm behind the bushes. "Let's go sweetheart, I got it." Eddie says, grabbing my hand.

"Dustin, can you hear me? Wheeler?" Eddie says trying to get ahold of them. "Eddie. Holy shit. Are y'all okay?" I hear, it was Dustin. "Nah, man. Pretty...pretty goddamn far from okay." Eddie says, looking at me for a second. "Where are yall?" Dustin asked.

"Skull Rock. Do you know it?" Eddie replied.

"Uh, yeah, that's near Cornwallis and Garrett, yeah. I know where that is." I hear Dustin and Steve say, "Hold tight, we're coming. We're coming." They disconnected.

Love, are you okay? I asked Eddie, looking at him worried. "No, i'm not, princess," he replays. Come here, I open my arms for a hug and he hugs me.

I hold him tight and try to comfort him. "I love you," I hear Eddie say softly. I start to rub his back lightly, I love you.

I hold him and don't let go, we just talked with each other the whole time.

After awhile, we hear them. Dustin and Steve are of course arguing. "I concur, you, Dustin Henderson, are a...total butthead." Eddie says, I laugh.

"Jesus, we thought y'all were a goner," Dustin says hugging Eddie.

"Yeah, me too, man." Eddie responds. Steve hugs me and then Dustin does too. Steve and Eddie give each other an awkward look.

"When we got to the shore, I tried calling you guys, but, uh...our wallow was busted, man. Drenched. So, uh, I did the thing that I do now, apparently. I ran." Eddie chuckled, awkwardly.

"Do y'all know what time this was? The attack?" Nancy asked us. "Yeah, no, I...I know exactly what time it was. Our walkie wasn't the only thing that was soaked." Eddie takes off his watch and tosses it at Nancy.

"9:27," Nancy read. "Same time our flashlights went kablooey." Robin states. "Which means what, exactly?" Steve asked.

"That that surge of energy was Vecna attacking Patrick." Nancy states, tossing Eddie his watch.

"Well, we're one step closer. We know how Vecna attacks- and where he attacks from," Robin and Lucas explained.

"So now we just need to sneak into his lair in the Upside Down and drive a stake through his heart." Max says. They continue to talk back and forth.

"BOOM!" We look at Dustin. "Bada...bada...boom. I was right. Skull Rock was north." Steve and Dustin go at it again and I roll my eyes.

"This compass worked correctly when we left the Wheelers'. It was correct when we got in the car on Curly. But it started to slip the further east we went. Now, it's way off. The compass was." Dustin continued

"So you're using faulty equipment. You're still wrong." Steve tells him.

"Except it wasn't faulty. Lucas, you remember what can affect a compass?" Dustin asks. "An electromagnetic field." Lucas replays.

Dustin continued to explain his point, I just zoned out cause I was bored. "Yn, you okay?" Eddie whispered, waving his hand in front of my face.

I snap out of it and look at him, yeah, I'm fine, I just zoned out, I'm bored so.

Eddie sits down and pulls me in, lightly rubbing my back. We focused back in what Dustin was saying.

"This little steel capsule might be the key to saving both Max and Eddie. What say you, Eddie the Banished?" Dustin says looking over to Eddie.

"I say you're asking me to follow you into Mordor, which, if I'm totally straight with you, I think it's a really bad idea, but, uh, the Shire...the Shire is burning." Eddie says, Dustin starts jumping.

Why are you jumping? I ask Dustin. "I knew you and Eddie were together!" I smile at him and look at Eddie.

Eddie stands up, "Yes we are, but, Mordor it is." We start leaving Skull Rock.

It's dark and we are running in the woods. Dustin? Can you slow down? Dustin? I say, trying to catch up and Eddie's behind me, holding my hand. "I think we're getting closer." Dustin says, looking back at us.

Eddie grabs him, "Watch your step, big guy."

We uncover the boat and Robin gets on. Then me and Eddie get on and so does Nancy.

Dustin try's to get on but Eddie stops him. "You trying to sink us? This thing holds four people tops, okay? Eddie says to him, then sitting next to me.

Steve pushes us off and hops in. "You said four!" Dustin complains. "Bed time at nine, kiddos! Miss you already!" Robin shouted.

I saw Dustin flip her off and I chuckled.

Nancy tells us to slow down after awhile. "Uh, Dusting, your compass has gone from wonky to wonky with a capital "aah!" Robin says in the walkie.

Steve starts to take off his shoes and socks, "Somebody's gotta go down and check this out. Unless one of you four can top being a Hawkins High swim co-captain and a certified lifeguard for three years, then..it's gotta be me. No complaints, all right?"

I scoff, Steve you know you aren't the only good swimmer here, right? At least I was the captain of my swim team. Steve rolls his eyes, not really caring.

"Hey, I'm not complaining. I do not wanna go down there." Eddie says rapping up a flashlight for Steve.

I see Nancy staring at Steve when he takes his shirt off. Robin noticed it too, we looked at each other and smiled.

Eddie try's to spark a joint but Tobin throws it in the water. What the hell! I wanted to hit that! I said complaining. "Yeah, me too!" Eddie agrees.

Steve dives in and we sit in silence. I hold Eddie's hand when Nancy says he's closing in in a minute. "Hey, it's okay princess." Eddie says, reassuring me. I give him a slight smile.

Steve pops up, scaring the shit out of us. "Dustin, you are a goddamn Einstein. Steve found the gate." Robin says, but no reply.

Steve get yanked and then yanked again but this time getting dragged down.

Nancy jumped in, so did Robin after a bit, leaving me and Eddie on the boat alone. "Goddamn it!" Eddie shouts. Come one, I grab his hand and we jump in together.
