We were now in the Upside Down. I saw Steve getting chocked and bitten by these bat things. I grabbed an oar and Eddie grabbed the other one. I swung it at one of the bats. I swung at another and Robin stepped on the one chocking Steve.
I hit it repeatedly, trying to get it to let go of Steve. A bat thing got on Nancy, so Robin went to help get it off her.
Eddie was swinging at the incoming bat things. The one that was chocking Steve let go so I went to help Eddie.
We watched as Steve kept swinging the bat on the ground then he tore it in half.
"Did you actually just take a bite out of that thing?" I asked as I watched him spit blood out. He just looked at me out of breath.
"Jesus H. Christ!" I heard Eddie yell as he threw down the oar. "Hey it's okay, we're okay." I say grabbing his hand. He looks at me and gives me a slight smile.
"Uh, do you jus think there bats have, like, rabies? It's just rabies are, like, my number one greatest fear. And I think we should get you to the doctor like really soon because once symptoms set in, it's too late. You're already dead." Robin said frantically.
We all heard streaks, turning our heads, we saw a few more of those bats coming our way. Instead of coming after us, they block the gate.
"All right, there's not that many. We can take them. Right?" As Steve said that, a lot more come out direction.
I look over, The woods. Come one. I start running towards the woods hearing everyone else following.
We hid under Skull Rock waiting for those bat things to fly over us. Once it was clear, we come out. Steve was loosing blood, so Nancy tore off some clothing, rapping it around him.
"Okay. So the good news is I'm pretty sure wooziness is not a symptom of rabies. But, um, if you start feeling aggressive, like you wanna punch me, let me know." Robin said frantically to Steve.
As them three were doing their thing, I hugged Eddie tight and he hugged me tightly, placing a kiss on my forehead. I just wanted to be home, laying in mine or his bed, cuddling.
Eddie let go of me and started to climb a rock, looking into the distance.
"So, uh, this place is like Hawkins, but with monsters and nasty shit?" Eddie asked us. "Wait, watch out for the vines. It's all a hive mind." I told Eddie as he was about to get down. "A hive what?" he asked stopping.
"All the creepy crawlies around here, dude. They're, like, one or something. You step on a vine, you're stepping on a bat, you're stepping on Vecna." Steve explained to him.
As Eddie started to get down again, watching his step, Robin started to state, "But everything from our world is still here, right? Except people? So, theoretically, we could go to the police station and steal guns and grenades and whatever we need to blow up those bat things that are guarding the gate."
"Yeah, I highly doubt the Hawkins PD has grenades, Robin. But gina, yeah, sure." I stated.
"Well, we don't have to go all the way downtown for guns. I have guns in my bedroom." Nancy confessed. "You, Nancy Wheeler, have guns, plural, in your bedroom?" Eddie asked a little shocked.
"Full of surprises, isn't she?" I asked him. "A Russian Makarov and a revolver." Nancy said.
Apparently she almost shot Steve with that one, but oh well she said he almost deserved it.
The ground started to shake and I fell onto Eddie. Eddie held me tight. We set up hearing snarling in the distance.
"Yeah, so guns seem like a pretty good idea to me." Eddie spoke up. "Yeah, me too," I agreed.
