Outside the airport terminal awaits a tall, brown haired boy sitting on one of the airport seatings. As all the airport passengers come out of the terminal one by one, he awaits for the girl he's been meaning to see. But as time passed and most passengers had already left the terminal, the girl was still nowhere in sight. He eagerly got up from his seat and walked closer to the terminal hoping to get a peek on the inside.
"Hello~" A voice whispered from behind. He turned around to see a girl grinning at him, "Surprise!"
"Ah! You scared me, I thought you were lost inside or something!" He almost shouted. "Like I would get lost so easily! I sneaked out ahead of time to surprise you!" The girl huffed. His heart was still beating fast perhaps from the girl's jump scare or maybe he was just excited to see her again.
"Long time no see! It's been... two years?" he faltered. "Yeah, the last time we saw each other was during 2012! I'm disappointed though.. You barely contacted me over the past years," the girl ranted.
The both of them used to be classmates. Jun first met Hana when she transferred to his class from Korea and they have been close ever since. Her family had moved to China due to her father's job but she had wanted to return to Korea for a long time. By the time she turned 18, her parents finally allowed her to move back by herself.
"Where are you gonna stay now?" Jun asked. "I still have to look for an apartment so for the time being, I have no place to stay." She gave him a pleading look, knowing her, Jun already knew what she wanted.
"Nope, I live in the company's dorm, I doubt they'd let you stay there." Jun said, hoping to crush her hopes of staying with him but she doesn't give up easily. "But you don't know for sure, you won't know until you try!" Hana stood her ground while Jun sighed at her. "Yeah, go ahead. I'll take you there right now and see what they say."
Jun called a taxi and soon they arrived at the entertainment he currently trains under. "Pledis entertainment," Hana read outloud, "this is the company you're under?"
"Yep, that's a rhetorical question," Jun said, "and don't even bother bringing your luggages inside, you're just gonna have to drag them out again. Don't waste the energy~"
"Shut up," she grumbled. Jun led her inside to the main office and walked up to a random staff there. "This girl wants to stay at the dorm because she doesn't have a place to live, can she?" He spoke so fast as if he's rapping. However, the staff's reaction seemed to be different from what Jun expected. He was expecting something like "Hahah, that's a funny one," but the staff took a good look at Hana's face and said, "You're really pretty! What's your name?"
"Hana," she proudly announced. "You have a pretty name too~ Jun said you want to live at the dorm because you don't have a place to stay, correct?" the staff asked. "He made it sound like I'm homeless, which I'm not. I just moved back from China today and I still haven't found an apartment yet so I need a place to stay for the time being." The staff called another staff over and they whispered back and forth to each other then turned back to her. "Are you interested in auditioning for our company?"
Now, Jun's stunned. "Auditioning, as in becoming a trainee?" she speculated. "Yes! I think you're a great fit to become an idol!" the other staff said. Without a moment of hesitation, she agreed. Things were actually going smoothly. She entered the audition singing "Hug Me" by Joonil Jung, which is also her favorite song. It actually wasn't very surprising that she passed the audition so easily because she's always been known by the others around her as "the girl who's good at singing."
"You were amazing! You have a very angelic voice, it's suitable to become a singer." The judges applauded. "So.. Do I pass?" she asked. The judges whispered and murmured with another again like earlier then gave her the answer, "You're accepted!"
Jun, who was watching from the sidelines the whole time, was in complete disbelief. "You're crazy. You passed the audition the same day you auditioned and you only auditioned once!" he blabbed on and on while Hana was already asking the staff about her dorm.
"Sorry, since your audition was very unexpected, we don't have a spare dorm prepared yet. For the time being, you can stay at the boy's dorm along with Jun. They have an extra room there." She wasn't in a position to be picky so she accepted the offer right away. "See? You don't know until you try!" Hana grinned at Jun who was still in questioning.
Under the staff's instructions, Jun had to take her to his dorm, which now is also her dorm. Jun also had to help carry all her luggages to the dorm. The problem is, their dorm was located on the fifth floor and there's no elevator. She has two large suitcases, it seemed like an impossible mission for the two to complete but there was no other choice. The two carried one luggage up together. Even with two people, it was still a real struggle.
"Oww.." Jun groaned after hitting the wall in the process of carrying the luggage up the stairs. Just then, they came across another tall guy, taller than Jun who was already pretty tall. He looked about 6'1. "Jun?" blurted the tall guy, "What are you doing? Why are you carrying luggages? And who's this girl? Didn't you say you were going to the airport?" He's like a machine gun firing questions nonstop.
Hana awkwardly greeted him which he also awkwardly greeted back. "Hello, I'm Hana. I uhh-" Jun cuts her off before she could finish speaking, "She miraculously got casted and somehow passed the audition today. And the reason she auditioned? Just cause she doesn't have a place to stay so she wants to live in the company dorm."
"You're making me sound homeless again!" she grumbled. "But weren't you, technically?" Well, he had a point. "Nice to meet you, I'm Hana and I just moved here from China today, but I'm fully Korean but I moved to China a few years ago and-" Jun cuts her off, again, "And now you sound really complicated. Basically, she was born in Korea but her family moved to China. Now she's 18, she decided to move back by herself. Which is also the reason she doesn't have a place to stay at."
"Hmm, okay." the boy replied while the other two stared in disbelief of how simple minded the boy is. "Well, I'm Mingyu, nice to meet you. You're the same age as Jun right?" Mingyu said. "Yes, nice to meet you. Anyways, you seem to have a good physique, would you mind helping me carry my suitcases upstairs? Cause you see, Jun is quite useless and he keeps hitting his head." She scorned.
"Um, okay, sure." Mingyu easily picked up the suitcase and carried it up to the dorm then carried the second suitcase up as well. "Thanks, you're so much more useful than Jun." She said, raising her eyebrow at Jun. "Hey! I'm the reason you were able to even stay at this dorm!" He complained, but only got ignored as she was busy chatting with Mingyu. Mingyu unlocked the door open and the three steps inside the dorm where 13 other boys lived. The house itself is pretty spacious, I mean for 13 boys to stay at. But, it was swarmed with things, the place itself was incredibly messy and not gonna lie, it also smelled a bit..
Right away, they could see three other boys sitting on the living room sofa. They all stood up in surprise as soon as they saw a girl walk into their dorm. "Who's this?" a really short guy (compared to how tall Mingyu was) asked. "A girl?" another guy with slightly bushy eyebrows said. "What's going on?" another guy with long hair said. "Hello, I'm Hana. I am a new trainee here and will be staying in this dorm for a while because the company doesn't have a dorm prepared for me." She introduced herself for the countless times today.
"You're gonna live with us?" said another pretty guy who still had a towel over his shoulder. It seemed like he just came out from a shower, luckily or unluckily, he's fully dressed. "Well, hello, I'm Joshua, nice to meet you~" He said warmingly, then one by one the other guys also introduced themselves to me. "So there should be an extra room where I can stay, right?" Hana asked but the other guys avoided looking in her direction. "Right?"
"Uh.. well, there is an unoccupied room.. But the problem is.." Seungcheol led her to the stuff-filled, pigsty room. It was full of random things. Even a random old tire could be found there. "Um.. Sorry, we'll clean it up but considering how dirty it is, I don't think we can finish cleaning by today.." He apologized. "For tonight, you should just stay at Jun's room." Jeonghan suggested, "He's the only one with a solo room, and you two are close right?" She turned to look at Jun, "Well, thanks!" She grinned at him. "Fine." He only agreed because he didn't want to bother arguing with her since he already knows it'll be useless.
This is the first chapter, I hope you liked it so far!
