In one last attempt to get them off me, I shook my arms as violently as I could, but they still wouldn't come off. With a deep sigh, I gave up and looked for a way around the flower field. A bit further away there was something similar to a path, at least from what I could tell by looking. It wasn't that far away either, so I decided to check it out. In worst case it wasn't anything, but the chances to find a way around it would be bigger if I actually looked for one.
My eyes hadn't deceived me, there really were a path. It was similar to the trails in the forest but slightly wider, and it was free from the flowers. While walking, I kept looking for any form of life. Since there hadn't been any sign of life in the forest, I wasn't too hopeful. But just by listening I could hear the birds chirping and it made me feel safe, if there were birds, there would also be other animals around. Maybe I could find some people too. The thought of maybe finding people made my body tingle, I realized that I was scared of actually meeting any living person. But why? People should mean food, a roof over my head, safety, and some sense of belonging. Yet I was feeling scared about maybe finding some, it wasn't even for certain. I tried to stop thinking about it, by focusing on the stomping sound that my feet mad. Had I always walked this loudly? Or was the ground just that hard? While I was focusing on the ground, I noticed a small vibration. To see if it came from myself, I stopped and waited. But the vibration didn't stop, it was the complete opposite, it was increasing.
