I woke up to my alarm blasting like every morning, quickly brushing my teeth and throwing on a quick outfit. Luckily my hair had bounced back in place from the night before so with a quick coat of mascara and gloss I was ready for school.
I jumped in my Camaro and headed on my way.

I arrived in the parking lot of Hawkins high and sat on my bonnet to smoke a cigarette as I noticed a crowd gathering around a particular car.

" there she is " Steve shouted running over too me
" better late than never " we laughed
" you really should stop smoking " he said taking a seat next too me
" you should really use less hairspray " I nudged him.

" what's the commotion " I asked
" new kid, looks like a douche " Steve scoffed
" obviously not a lady then " I laughed
" even if it was none of them would compare to you " he said throwing his arm over my shoulder

I laughed and pushed him away as he jumped off the bonnet.
The crowd started to dispense and I seen the new guy walking over too us.
" what does he want " Steve said looking at me
" your guess is as good as mine " I said raising my brows

" got a light ? " a blonde haired guy asked me
I lit my lighter and held it too his mouth.
" thank you " he smiled
" I'm off see you later " Steve said quickly hurrying away.

" nice car you have good taste but mines better " he said pointing over to the blue Camaro
" I don't know I think mines a tad shinier " I joked
I jumped off the bonnet and stood on my cigarette.
" Billy, Hargrove " he said holding out his hand
" nice to meet you Hargrove " I said shaking his hand and beginning to turn away
" and you are ? " he shouted
" late " I laughed and turned away to walk into the building.

" what did he want " Steve scoffed
" honestly just a light why " I asked
" I just don't like him " he shrugged
" Steve you don't even know him " I laughed
" I've seen his type before he'll only bring you trouble and heartache " he sniggered
" I gave him a light not my hand in marriage " I laughed playfully shoving him
" for now " he shoved me back.

The school day ended quickly and I drove home to my mum not being there, it was nothing new she hardly was.
Ever since my dad passed all she did was work.
I found a note on the counter that read
' gone to New York for a couple of meetings, will be back in a few days. Left some money on top of the cupboards. Love you mum x '.

I sighed and headed back out the door, I jumped in my car and drove to a little hidden lake I visited when I didn't want to be stuck at home but also wanted to be alone.
The sun had just started to set and it left a nice glow on the water.

" well well well " I heard a male voice say as I looked around to notice the figure standing next too me.
" Hargrove " I said looking up
" that's the one princess " he said taking a spot next too me and handing me a cigarette.
" princess huh " I laughed
" what else am I supposed to call you " he asked
" Alyssa miller " I responded taking a drag of the cigarette.
" so Alyssa, what are you doing out here on your own? " he said furrowing his brows
" well I'm no longer alone " I said with a smirk.
" let's hope I'm worth the company " he laughed.

Hours went by and the sun had completely set, we'd just sat and spoke completely losing track of time.
" I best get going " I said about to stand up
" let me take you home " he asked reaching out his hand to help me.
" I drove here but thank you " I smiled
We walked to our cars and said goodbye.
" I'll see you soon princess " he said as he smiled and drove off.

I blushed all the way home, I couldn't get him out of my head that night. I know he had his reputation but I think he was misunderstood.
