Toxicity

Somehow I'd manage to put up with Billy for another year, he became my weakness.
I'd of done anything for him and he would do the same for me. It wasn't always great, sometimes it was toxic but we was both too blame. He was out of his head sometimes.

We both had got jobs and was renting a little apartment it was nothing extraordinary but it was cozy and it was ours.

We had got into a fight driving home.
" Billy slow down " I shouted
" I'll fucking wrap us both around this tree " he screamed back going faster
" just fucking stop for once I don't want to argue Billy I'm tired please " I pleaded
He started to slow down
" I'm sorry just had a stressful day at work " he sighed
" please stop taking it out on me " I pleaded.

We arrived home and all I wanted to do was get out, so I started packing.
" what are you doing " he said walking through the bedroom doorway.
" I'm going to my mums for a few days " I said not reaching his eyes

" you're leaving me? " he said with a stern tone
" I just need some space " I said with a tear falling
He ran over and started taking things back out of my case.
" Billy stop " I shouted snatching some clothing back out of his hands before he grabbed the whole case and threw it across the room.

I didn't say anything, I just proceeded to walk towards the front door.
As I went to open it he forcefully shoved his hands against it slamming it shut.

" so we're not even going to talk " he snapped
" what is there too talk about " I said defeated
" actually if you want to go then fucking go everything is replaceable including you I'm done " he shouted moving away from the door throwing himself down on the couch.

" goodbye Billy " I said leaving the house.
He didn't try too stop me this time.
I loved him, but sometimes love just isn't enough.

A few months had passed and the school dance was coming up, I'd volunteered to help with Nancy.

" are we going to dress up too " Nancy laughed
" any excuse too right " I laughed back
" we best get shopping then " Nancy said grabbing her cars keys.
We arrived at star court mall and both found nice suitable dresses just in time as we only had a few hours too get ready.

" ok so I also volunteered us to pick up the gang don't kill me " she said applying the final touches too her make up.
" right who have I got " I laughed
" you're getting Lucas and max " she said with a smile.
" I best get on my way then hadn't I " I sighed getting up and grabbing my bag.

I headed to max's first, I knocked on the door and Neil answered it telling me to go into the living room.

Susan was just finishing up max's hair
" alyssa you're here " she said smiling at me as she could see me through the mirror.
" you look beautiful " I smiled
" hello love how are you keeping " Susan asked
" fine thank you how are you " I asked as I went and stood next too them helping her put in the last hair pin.

I looked up as I heard footsteps and seen Billy stop in his tracks. He looked like he wanted to say something and we held eye contact for a few seconds before he sighed and continued to walk off.
" right she's ready " Susan smiled taking a photo of max
" let's go kiddo " I smiled.

We picked up Lucas and met Nancy, will and Mike there. Steve was dropping off dustin.
The dance was going well, Lucas and max were dancing along as well as Mike and el who had shown up which we was all so glad about.
Nancy took dustins hand and I took wills.
It got late quickly and was time to drop Lucas and max off back at home.

" thank you " max said giving me a hug as I walked her too the door.
" anytime kiddo " I said smiling at her and making sure she got inside.
I turned to head to my car as Billy's pulled up.

" can we talk " he asked quietly
" please " he proceeded to ask from the rolled down window.
" 10 minutes " I said
he got out the car and opened the front door telling me too follow him.
