The Plan

A/N: Yes, this fanfic is centered around the darling and wonderful Aphmau, but I will occasionally write in different POV's, just to spice shizz up.

Deadlox POV

"Hey Sky, you down to practice some parkour techniques?" I slid my headphones from off of my ears to hear my friend's reply.

Sky frowned, looking at his phone. "I wish. Dawn already made plans for us and shit. I would ask to bail, but.."

"Yeah, yeah. I know. You kinda have to get used to her presence, seeing as how you guys are engaged. Its cool. I'll go bother someone else." I walked off, leaving him alone.

I huffed angrily, kicking at the tiled floor of the school I was forced to go to.

So far, this hadn't been my month. First, Sky gets engaged to the Dawn chick, then Aph arrives, leaving Sky with less time, and now, Dawn is being possessive. Great.

Blindly, I walk around, glad they didn't make us go to class on the weekends.

Somehow, I found myself in the main courtyard. The sky was a deep blue color with the occasional cloud as a crisp breeze chilled me slightly. The courtyard was basically a huge garden with a large cobblestone fountain in the center. I sat down on it, replacing my headphones to their proper place and allowing a hand to drift into the fountains water.

Poke, poke.

I kept my eyes closed, waiting for the poking to stop.

Poke, poke, poke.

"Gah. Yes?" I open one eye to see a girl with black hair standing over me, an anxious look on her face.

"Oh! Err... Hi Deadlox." Aphmau bowed, her face a little pink.

"Oh, its you. Whats up Aph?" I removed my headphones and stared at the girl in front of me. She had already been here for a few weeks and was already fitting in seamlessly. Others didn't have that luck.

"Deadlox... Isn't it your birthday later this week?" She had her head tilted in that cutesy anime way. I smiled, patting her head.

"Yeah. On Thursday. Why you ask?"

"I was just wondering if you were doing anything then. Because you know, um, some people like to spend their birthdays alone. I'm asking everyone." She stepped back, scratching the back of her head and smiling nervously.

"I like to spend it with my close friends, but I'm not sure about this year. Might spend it alone this year." I shifted, feeling slightly uncomfortable.

Sky probably forgot with Dawn and all that...

"Deadlox?"

I quickly turned back to face Aph, barely realizing that she had been talking.

"Er, sorry?"

"I said, 'Would you mind spending the day with me?' I know Sky has been busy..."

I was taken aback. Aphmau was complete serious, a look of determination in her eyes.

Is she.. Asking me out?

"Like...like a ... Date?" I felt the blood rush to my cheeks.

Apparently, Aphmau felt just as embarrassed. Her face got red as she franticly tried to explain, but I cut her short.

"Sure Aph. I would be delighted to spend my birthday with you."

At those words her face lit up. "R-really! Wow! Uhh, cool! Okay, see you then! Bye!" She scurried off, skipping ever so often.

I chuckeled a little. Maybe I'm not spending my birthday alone after all.

Sky POV
I walked next to Dawn, her hand gripping mine. She was talking about something, but I honestly couldn't care less. As we walked, I forced myself to remember why I was doing this.

Its for dad...Just remember its all for dad.

"Oh. What are you doing here?" Dawn's voice was full of some kind of venom unknown to man-cube... Thing. I looked in the area to where she was projecting her rage.

"Hi Dawnables!" Despite Dawn's cold attitude toward her, Aphmau was being genuinely nice in return. "Do you mind if I ,er, borrow Sky?"

Dawn made a little noise at the back of her throat, but she released me. Aphmau pulled me a few feet away from Dawn, making sure she couldn't hear us.

"Alright Sky, I have an idea. Deadlox's birthday is coming up and I wanted to throw a surpise party for him! You've been really busy and stuff so he probably doesn't expect you to do anything!" She looked up at me, her eyes shining.

"That's a really good idea Aph. Alright, I'll help. Where do we start?"

I was gonna make this chapter longer but I've been busy and lazy so I'm very very sorry but hey I got a chapter out! Also im gonna be posting a new story. If any of you like Ouran High School Host Club its based on an old fanfic I wrote on fan fic dot net but it was horrid. So here I am redoing it! Hope y'all forgive me. *throws candy*
