More and More

As I was pulled along, I felt something hook its arms around my waist. Before I could react, I was pulled back into a warm figure. I looked up to try to figure out what was going on.

"Well, hello again!" Satiel smiled big, releasing me from his iron grip. Unfortunatly, Kala and Sly were less cheerful.

"Satiel!? What the fuck?! You could have hurt Aph!" Sly made to grab me, but I backed away.

"Sly, I'm okay! Just a little startled."

"See, she's fine! Besides, I wanna introduce her to Xem."

Xem?

"Fine... but next time..." Sly slid off, Kala laughing in his wake.

I giggled, then turned to Satiel. "Xem?"

"Their name is actually Raye, and Raye uses their own pronouns. Xe's agender."

"Oh really? I've never met someone who is agender before." I could feel my curiosity begin to grow.

"Hey, what are the odds! Raye!" Satiel glanced over his shoulder, waving down someone.

"Oh. You must be the new scholarship student. I'm Raye, as Satiel here must have told you." Raye stuck out their hand, allowing me to shake it. Their white hair glisted in the faded light of the glowstone, making it appear majestic.

"So Raye, what are you studying here?"

"Like some of the other students, I am here merely to observe my peers and draw them." Raye tilted their head slighlty, smiling softly. "Now if you would excuse me-  Curaxu! Rage! I need to talk to you ASAP!" They ran off, turning down a dark hallway.

"Is everyone here like this?" I laughed,  shocked at the random change in Raye's otherwise calm demenor.

"Yup!"

As we entered the dining hall, I could feel everyone's eyes on me. Majority of them being male. I looked down as Satiel guided me through until he sat down, leaning forward on the table.

"Don't worry, no one will bother you. They all know better. Plus Sky told them you'll  kick their butt if they get on your bad side, and these people seem to only ever annoy everyone."

I laughed, taking a seat next to my new compaion. Suddenly, the kid named Dom appeared.

"Satiel, you've got some explaining to do. Sly said-"

"Oh man. Alright, lets go." Satiel got up and walked off, leaving me alone at my table.

Oh man... Now what do I do?  I looked down at  my hands, attempting to avoid the others.

"Hey. New chick." My head snapped up to see a boy with lime green headphones over his ears sitting across from me. On either side of him sat two boys. On his left, the boy had brown hair that covered his eyes and donned a green sweater. On his right sat a boy with gray hair and a black leather jacket.

"Hi. So umm... Aph, yeah  that's your name... This is Sub," he  said, pointing to the boy on his left, "and Ethan. They both wanted to meet you, so yeah." Deadlox squrimed akwardly.

"Oh... err...hi?"  I waved my had feebly, feeling quite foolish.

Ethan pulled a notpad out of his pocket, quickly scribbling something down. He then handed it to me.

'Hello Aph. I'm Ethan, and the guy with me is Sub. We are both mute, so naturally we are best friends.'

"Aww,that's cute. I mean, err-"

Luckly, Satiel rejoined, flopping down on the table.

"Hey guys..."

"Is everythi-"

"Yeah. You ready to eat?" 

I nodded, handing Ethan his notepad back. We quickly got up and recived or dinner, but when we raturned, the trio was gone.
