The man sat silently on the edge of a cliff, his eyes focused on the clouds above him. The rain gently poured down, the occasional drop of water landing almost directly onto his eyes. He sighed softly. His eyes began to close, before he realized that although he quite enjoyed the melody of the storm, he should not fall asleep on the edge of a cliff. The man chuckled to himself as the wind blew his soaking-wet hair against his face. He averted his gaze from the clouds to the surreal forest of wisteria trees just next to him, taking a moment to admire their beauty. He closed his eyes for a moment longer when he blinked. Giyuu took in a deep breath, smelling the fresh fragrance of the blooms. He couldn't help but smile to himself at this beautiful location, one which he'd held very dearly in his heart for many years to pass. He was enjoying himself. At least, he was, until a high-pitched voice broke the almost intoxicating silence.
"Ara-ara, Tomioka-san! Don't you think it is unhealthy to stay out here in the rain?" Tomioka's smile faded as soon as he heard that familiar voice.
Giyuu stayed quiet, silently wishing that the insect hashira would leave. The rather small woman tilted her head to the side. "Tomioka-san!" She smiled brightly. "Don't you think it's rude to ignore others?" Giyuu sighed in annoyance, before standing up with the assistance of his own arms. Shinobu frowned; usually Giyuu would respond with at least one word. Giyuu shook his head, water droplets flying everywhere, including directly onto Shinobu's face. The woman wiped her face off. Giyuu began to walk to his estate, seemingly ignoring the hashira behind him.
